Everyone seems so intrigued by this story. 30+ comments and counting.

But what will this change for the average everyday Bahamian citizen? Absolutely nothing. Renward Wells and Andre Rollins are only satisfying their own personal interests. Just like Hubert Ingraham did when he had a fall-out with Pindling back in the 80s and joined the FNM.

All these fellas do is play politics, align their pockets, and preserve their own personal interest. Meanwhile, everyone's getting all excited like this actually means something for the rest of us. Well folks..... it doesn't. Behind the PLP or the FNM, the Bahamas will continue to regress.

Listen..... I was a teacher for five years, before going into medicine.

My experience in education forced me to realize that the majority of our young boys and girls are NOT interested in education! It's simply NOT an attractive prospect for them because it requires discipline and hard brain work!! The fact that you guys are failing to acknowledge, is that the majority of Bahamian students are NOT interested in exercising their brains! They have become distracted and consumed by the "something for nothing" mentality.

The drug culture has ruined the value of good, honest, hard work in the minds of our young students. Furthermore, it was my parents that pushed me, admonished me, and reminded me of the importance of a good education! And the only parents I see pushing their children (at least in the public education system) are the Haitian parents. If you don't believe me.... go and check it out for yourself. You'll find that the head boys and head girls for many of the government high school are of Hatian decent. They come here and take advantage of our public school educational system.

I agree with you that our school system can be modified and improved. But the heart of the problem is not the schools! It's the HOMES in which these students are coming from!! poor parenting is the problem! Not the educational system! This is 2015!!! Educational resources are unlimited!! If you want a good education, all you have to do is open a book, and study its contents!! Go to any bookstore in the Bahamas. I bet you that they will tell you that their sales are down.

So why should the government spend tens of millions of dollars on education when they're probably not going to see an return on their investment? Now..... when you find one or two individuals that appear serious about their education...... those are the students that you invest the country's money in. Not the masses who aren't interested in books.

No man..... don't say that.

Yes, we have a lot of wicked preachers. But we also have some sincere ones too.

I won't even waste my time commenting any further.

I'm just marking off the days to 2017.

That's what they get for voting for V Alfred Gray.

Tell them to go an explain their plight to him. See if he cares.

But he's still speaking the truth! Is he not?

But what I'm saying is..... we cannot just use assumptions and broad conjectures when evaluating Mr. Minnis. We have to at least give the man a chance before we can criticize his performance.

The difference between he and the rest of our previous leaders is that this is actually the first opportunity that he will have to lead.

How would you feel if your job performance was prematurely judge based upon your affiliation with the person that you were replacing??? Would you consider that ethically fair??? I don't think so.

Our country needs a viable "government" at this time. We need a holistic entity. Not random, independent individuals contending with other members of parliament of whose parties they do not belong. If this were to occur, it would only exacerbate the constant bickering already present in the HOA. How would an independent candidate get a Bill passed??? The Bahamas needs a government that's in congruence with one another. You guys are allowing your emotions to affect your better judgement. You guys seemed intoxicated with vexation, and I understand your pain.

I'm by no means saying that we don't need a third party.... because I feel that we do! But with 2017 fast approaching, and the indisputable fact that the PLP needs to go; the FNM is the closest thing to common sense that the Bahamas has right NOW. Not later.... but for NOW.

Who knows??? Maybe by 2022 (Lord's willing) a legitimate third party will be established enough to ignite the confidence of the Bahamian electorate. Then we won't have to deal with the old PLP or FNM for a long time. Hopefully.

Blah blah blah blah blah.

If we do this, if we do that, if we go over here, if we go over there, blah blah blah blah blah blah.

Listen...... the word "if" is a conjunction that could take you all over the world and back. Unfortunatley, conjunctions and conjecture is a luxury the Bahamas cannot afford. The PLP needs to go NOW. NOW, is the operative word. And the only practical option at this time to replace the PLP government is the FNM. You can talk as much "ifs" as you like. But the rest of us are grounded in reality.

I wonder how Perry Christie, Bernard Nottage and the rest of the PLP would feel if the FNM erected crime billboards around the island.

Thank goodness the FNM has more class and decency than that.

That's what makes me so angry.

He's standing there talking about how disappointed he is...... when he himself is the real disappointment.
