Sorry for offending you, King Philosopher. You did make a few good points but I was just absorbed by the highfalutin expressions you two were making against each other. It clearly showed that you were more fixated on showing the public how legal-minded you were; more so than trying to enlighten the public to the realities of the referendum fiasco.
Here's the real question the media should pursue - "Was this armed robbery or was this an assassination made to look like an armed robbery?" Hmmmmmm..... Something real fishy here.
There is a major difference between being found guilty, being sentenced to prison and actually serving time in prison. Guarantee if the media keep on this story they will discover these major differences.
You can try take a person out urban of a person but it's quite hard to take urban out of a person. Mamma always say "son, you can put a dress and perfume on a dog but he still a dog".
You know, in the midst of these two guys above pontificating and arguing over who has the largest male reproductive organs, I want to say that I have watchded and will continue to watch all this drama with both eyes open. In fact, I can also use the eyes of these two guys above because they certainly are speaking from a far lower section of their body.
A very good eye-opening story, Ms. Turner. Thanks.
This article gets no sympathy from me. All these people fully knew that Number houses were illegal when they started working there and even before the referendum there was always a fear of being raided by the police. They are all adults and made adult decisions to work at these places. Not because a job pays the bills means that it is justifiable. I know a few strippers and see a lot of prostitutes around town. Trust me, their jobs pay their bills as well but...... Sorry. It is hard to say but there is no sympathy. Pick up a trade, sell newspaper, make shell jewelry, babysit, clean houses, start a lawn care business, wash windows; there are all kinds of legitimate ventures that positively minded Bahamians can do to make money. Sorry. No sympathy, only hard reality.
I don't rely on television and stage drama to teach me. I prefer to use dictionaries and realities. I am truly "concerned" about you and your fantasies.
Rev·er·end [rev-er-uhnd, rev-ruhnd] adjective 1. the name of a member of the clergy or a religious order 2. worthy to be revered; entitled to reverence. 3. pertaining to or characteristic of the clergy.
Noun 4. Informal. a member of the clergy.
Origin: 1400–50; late Middle English < Latin reverendus worthy of being revered
I thought the PM said that he brought in the South Africans to prepare for a Yes and a No vote. Why does our Prime Minister lie so much? The truth always come out, especially when you mouth off in front of TV cameras.
Sound like you mad because they voted No. Which makes you one in the bunch of compulsive gambling bastards. Suck your sour grapes and stay in ya corner. You will still be able to sneak and gamble illegally just like you were always doing.
The Prime Minister has two choices now - either blame others and keep doing the same old same old OR accept responsibility and find the courage to seriously govern the nation and find true strategies to move the Bahamas forward. Guess which one he will choose.
