2018 has been a "special" year. A lot of the hotel rooms in the Caribbean were destroyed by hurricanes. Any location outside of the devastation has had an exceptional year in 2018. This additional occupancy may extend into 2019 especially for group business, but after that things will return to normal. So take advantage of the business while you have it

If the musician was paid by the producers of the movie for the rights to include their music in the film, why should they get paid a second time? The musicians "rights" are then incorporated into the "rights" to show the movie.

The PRS are scamming everyone. Music used in TV shows, Music played on the Radio, they ask for additional payments from Hotels etc. According to them paying twice is right. The PRS is defrauding the hotels, and movie theaters of the Bahamas.

Why not increase occupancy to 100% and the average room rate to $2000 per night? Then you could make a lot ore money. Why settle for only a 50% increase?

The DPM obviously has no idea what he is talking about, and in these situations people should simply keep their mouth shut.

As William Shakespeare said - "It is a tail tolf by a fool, full of sound and ufry, signifying nothing"

On DPM targets 50% tourism GDP boost

Count the outstanding code items on one hand. Lets see. . . 1) Electrical system not up to par 2) Plumbing doesn't work 3) Hotel windows not up to hurricane code 4) Building may crumble at any time.

But who cares?

*The Water & Sewerage Corporation owed an $11 million receivable to its main, BISX-listed water supplier at year-end 2016, it was revealed last night, although the latter’s revenues were down $1.5 million year-over-year.*

The Water Corporation has a "Payable" to Consolidated Water. Consolidated water, on the other hand, has an $11M receivable from Water & Sewerage.

Also, what does the amount of $11M has to do with a $1.5M drop in revenues. This statements appears to be irrelevant.
