Of course the conch fishermen are going to protest, you knew that! If they want the conch to survive they will have to take the initiative to either fish something else during the closed period, or find something else to do for those months. Would hope the closed season for conch will not coincide with those for say crawfish or grouper. If they have any sense at all the fisherman will realize that steps must be taken to preserve the much loved conch before it is too late!

Suggest people need not beat or be beaten during a legal arrest operation.

This is the result of decades of Bahamas Government NOT dealing with the out of control immigration situation; greedy, corrupt politicians and immigration personnel; and an inefficient legal system. Had it been nipped in the bud and monitored continuously, the exercise would have been much simpler and much better for the sovereignty of our country.

Our police are watching too much U.S. footage. Most four legged PIGS are more decent than many of the two-legged species.

it's the people's time. Hope the 32,000 signatories do not bite the Minister and his cronies in their collective derrieres come election time.
