"Additionally, 8,439 marijuana plants were uprooted, 10,292 pounds of marijuana seized." What a waste, or maybe not!
These authorities love statistics, trust they are accurate. Also hope that the Force has sufficient honest officers capable of operating and maintaining all of the wonderful new technology and the funds with which to procure it.
Not only are these #^F^*I#(@N#(!!%G/ miscreants reducing what's left of the Bahamian economy to ashes, creating a huge group of gambling addicts and destroying families, they are refusing to pay the taxes which were levied on them to the further detriment of services to the Bahamian people. The politicians of both this and former government are complicit in the scam. National Lottery has been suggested over and over again, but will they listen? No. Too lazy and too greedy. A National Lottery might not bring in quite the same volumes as the numbers houses but, if run honestly, will aid in the reduction of poverty, crime and other related other social ills, as well as provide a legitimate source of income for The Public Treasury.
Definitely the smart thing to do. Many economists have predicted the crash for this year or next at the latest, but they keep printing money. The Ponzi scheme has to topple sooner or later. I believe you are right that we will not be able to withstand it this time round. Unlike Japan, we have no reserves. Like so many countries that have succumbed to the rule of corruption, The Bahamas will not be a pretty place to be.....
This most serious issue is tantamount to having unsecured and uninsured crown jewels. Trust the Ministers and Government leaders responsible will actually follow through on this one, and not just for a season. I reckon they are ALL responsible, as are The People to permanently keep the heat on.
Absolutely incredible. Seems the majority of civil service officers and staff are nothing but a slack den of thieves that the tax payers have to support. It would appear the thievery and constant cover-up goes from top to bottom. I suspect the decent hard-working government employees are rather few and far between. SMT
