Sounds like more sickening Bahamas Government departmental inefficiency and inadequacy all around. I must say, the earlier reporting of this incident by this Paper was sketchy at best. Night flight, particularly single pilot, should be discouraged or banned for all but commercial aircraft in this country.
In case you have not noticed, the U.S. is on a serious quest to rule the world; that includes our airspace and the very air we and all nations breathe. If you do not bow down to them, they drone you or sanction you. They do not like giving up things they have taken from other nations. I agree that Government should pursue this, but what nasty retaliation would they dream up against us and our conch shell army?
I imagine this six month road repair will be very impactful to those whose income depends on area traffic. Why does everything in this country have to be carried out at snail pace? Oh, I know, either inherent laziness, inefficiency or a bid to spread out the job cost, likely a combination all three!!
If CH Reeves Junior High School require 74 teachers on staff for 1020 that averages almost 14 students per teacher. Either these students get heaps of attention or it would seem they require two teachers to dispenses lessons to an average size class of, say 26 students. Are these teachers actually qualified or do they require some sort of tag team?
On another note, it seems as though it might be a good idea to reinstitute low rate school fees at government run schools. This might discourage some of our immigration concerns as well as instil some sort of pride in the parents, students and teachers of government schools.........
Throwing perfectly good items into the garbage is surely described as sinful in this big Christian society of ours! If indeed the items were destroyed shame on this Government. They could either have been sold to help make up the rent arrears or donated to a charitable concern.
The Government has no idea how to handle Value Added Tax. They had no idea at its inception and have even less insight now. Put a tool in the hands of idiots and what can we expect? Almost everything in this country is in a shambles. it is the people's time!
Any word yet on the investigations of the bec/bpbl fires. More crime, corruption and complicity?
