The bottom line is probably that all of these civil servants who have been raping the country for so long, now want more, and see that a seat in the HOA might be just the ticket!

You usually have my agreement in your well-worded posts, but I do wish you would lay off of China. The adjective "Red" is a bit antiquated . This is The Bahamas, not the US of A who must always have a bogey man country or two, or three or four on which to blame for its own short-comings. The bottom line is: help should always be extended to the best of one's ability. Minnis should reach into his own pockets to assist St V and the G's. (Continued Minnis-bashing is completely understood!!).

It doesn't matter how much they tax us, if they don't stop wasting the proceeds of taxation on the one hand, and putting the other half (?) in their pockets on the other hand, they will never bring down the national debt and the Country will never be solvent.

A zero tax nation? The only nation in the world that charges value added tax on customs import duty. These fricking politicians have been lying and stealing from the people for so for so long they wouldn't know honesty if it slapped them in the face!

The town is also FILLED to capacity with unknown immigrants, some of whom are employed by the hardware stores..........

They ARE springing up all over the place. You can even see trucks bearing the names of local hardware stores disappearing down the dirt roads after hours with rebar and lumber on the truck beds. Whether or not store management is aware is another story.....
