Actually you are wrong ForegoneConclusion. Quite the contrary, two of the major contributors of the Bible were highly educated. Moses would have being educated by the best Egypt had to offer. Paul was educated at a Pharisitical School. These school were equivalent to the best law school of today. Also you should learn to read the Bible in context. The four corners of the world does not mean what you are indicating. The statement shows "to what extent", its no different if I say, "I will slap your head off" or do you believe that your head will actually come off. With regards to homosexuals, I will not present a religious argument but a sanitary one. There is good reason why we wash our hands after using the bathroom. If you caught your child playing in his excrement I am quite sure you will teach him different. Even the homosexual if he is honest, would admit that nature design that particular body part to go into a particular place. Notice both arguments were common sense ones.

Sounds like "buyer beware", in this case "employee beware". As an employer I do understand the need for some type of employee protection. What could be done is to add an additional 3% to National Insurance and use that as a form of severance.

RH. Having her in wedlock was not the problem, having her in wedlock with a British national is were your problem began. I sympathies with you. For the sake of disclosure, I am a descendant of a Haitian national but I was fortunate to have been born before 1973(independence) which entitle me to Bahamian citizenship which was the case for all Bahamians who were British subjects at that time. I don't think the Bahamian populace would accept a change in the constitution even though it presents a major problem. The negative impact could be mitigated if upon a child turning 18 they could get citizenship. The government has added an additional three years or more by delaying the processing of such applications. I know a young man who graduated from high school at the age of 16 with seven BGCSE's. He now has to wait until he is 21 or more before he becomes a citizen. By that time society most likely would have lost him.

For all the above comments substitute the word "union" for the word "workers" after all a union is a group of workers deciding to bargain collectively.

Almost every nation in the Caribbean control their own airspace. Even Haiti does.It is part of been a sovereign country. I don't understand why we need to negotiate something that belongs to us. Set a date/put the necessary infrastructure/train personel and then make the transfer.

This story will lead to hundreds of Bahamian seeking asylum for a non-existing reason. I would probably send my application in also but the asylum interviewer may be gay and may want to test my sincerity. No thanks!

Its actually insane to still be patrolling the Bahamas by boat when it is cheaper to use planes.
Ten Cessna 208 properly outfitted with the latest technology would probably cost the government about 2 million dollars each for a grand total of 20 million. They can patrol the entire Bahamas in less than three hours every morning. Place about 20 go fast boats(10 arm defence forceofficers each) along the chain of islands from Inagua straight on up to Bimini. Once the plane spots a suspicious boat than a go fast boat can be dispatch to intercept. If the boats are properly position they should reach any point in the Bahamas in less than an hour.

The employment act allows for 12 hours shift. In this case you don't have to pay overtime unless the hours exceed 40 hours over the course of a week.

Notwithstanding subsection (1), in any industrial, construction,’
manufacturing or transshipment enterprise or in any essential service within the meaning of
section 75 (2) of the Industrial Relations Act or law enforcement service the hours of
employment of an employee for the purposes of such employment may exceed the standard
hours of work in a day up to a maximum of twelve hours and the Minister may by Order
include other enterprises or services within this subsection as he deems fit.

Henny, a precedent will be set if the referendum is overturn. Any future referendum will not be worth the paper it is written on.

The issue has gone beyond web shop gaming. When a government goes against a fair referundum that they organized, we all need to be concern. The next headline could be Government goes against election results. I can hear Obie saying, enough people didn't vote so it is an indication that they want the PLP to stay in power. Don't think it is far fetch because that position will also have its supporters.
