this is a human behavior issue not a medical issue. treat it as such. you cannot force crowds of people to do something successfully. but if you get the crowd to want to do it on their own then you have a solution. otherwise Minnis et.al. are like a dog chasing its tail. The comments about foreign consultants getting huge sums of money is outrageous. where is the transparency Minnis? care to share?
banana republic bull #$%@. Get your act together rbdf & rbpf or you may lose the R soon. simply stunning that the leaders of these 2 organizations could be arsed to actually pick up the piece of paper and read it. The so called competent Authority clearly and loudly stated that airports and seaports remain open. Or was that a faux pax by sinnim?
Lockdown works for the very short time period in which it is executed. as soon as it is over the positive benefit is eliminated. therefore whats the point? the focus needs to be on a public education campaign like the AIDS days, or teenage pregnancy or any other disease the human race has encountered. Teach and educate people on how they CAN go about daily lives while at the same time limiting their exposure. it can be done. an ounce of prevention = pound of cure right
all this political bullsnot comments above are self serving party loyal idiots. The issue is not political. it is not enforcement. The issue is education. Just like the "Protect ya conch" sign we need public education campaign to show people why they WANT to wear a mask.
talk talk talk. meanwhile young men going to jail. meanwhile the rest of the world is like "hey this is a waste of government resources, lets put that into something more productive". But hey its the bahamas. The most stable parliamentary democracy in the world because heave about as much adaptation to change as the vogons.
