they know there is no vaccine. this is not a solution. This is just delaying the inevitable. Consider the man who hasn't had an income in 5 months and has to look down into his children's pleading eyes and explain that he can't provide them with basic life necessities because there is a good chance that someone might catch a cold. the situation is not tenable. the medical establishment needs to get to grips with things and stop trying to play god. forcing people to sit on their hands for the next 2 years while we wait for a possible immunization is not an option. forced lockdowns is not tenable and cannot happen any further. you "slowed the curve" congratulations, now lets get dirty and get back to life.
Really. it would appear that you have plenty of money in your bank account or you have been receiving your regular steady government salary throughout the past 5 months. Can you honestly say that to the face of someone who is trying to put food in their children's mouths and hasn't seen any income except the paltry NIB check and a little bag of food everyone once in while. are you really that selfish and blind?
yep, tha'ts about the size of it. all these government guaranteed salaried employees sitting at home making full pay and haven't had to do anything for 5 months. they are loving life. meanwhile the other part of the Bahamas is dying slowly from starvation. What are the drivers in this economy? #1 Toursim, #2 Banking #3 Real Estate. Well #1 is dead for the next year. #2 is dying slow death and #3 is being screwed by our loving government. doing a bang up job, congrats.
FNM is becoming more and more like a failed government. blatantly giving away money to one person but telling the next one to suck it up and deal. truly this needs a resignation from Minnis and Turnquest. they faced a challenge and are failing miserably. Of course everyone with a cushy guaranteed gov't job is having a great time. The other part of the country, the part that actually works for a living is dying a slow painful death. Congratulations. well done. hats off.
the virus isn't going to disappear. lockdown full or partial simply delays the inevitable. We are all going to die. Maybe some don't want to spend the rest of their life being in self imposed prisons? the virus is deadly mainly for those with diabetes, heart disease, etc. We can live life or die slow death in our own home prisons. Minnis finally realized that the gross infringement of our basic constitutional rights to freedom of movement and the pursuit of love life and happiness was completely unwarranted and in my view illegal. He should resign post haste. The public purse is broke, NIB is broke, every single person is more than broke. Shall we choose death by starvation or death by virus. tough decision really.
does anyone give a shit about constitutional rights anymore? the right to pursue happiness and the various rights of freedom? no? oh! ok i'll just go over here and sit quietly minding my own business then.
they know they have been blatantly abusing your constitutional rights. take the country back from the nutcase ministry of health! Minnis can resign tomorrow please.
