I don't understand. Just because they are big shiny fancy boats owned by very rich people they should deserve a tax break that all the other tourists and locals alike have to pay? Am I missing something? If 10% tax is such a major deterrent maybe we don't need those dollars in this country anyway? I pay 10% on my groceries and to my mechanic and plumber, why would a yacht using our natural resources to run business on the waters of the Bahamas assume they are entitled to tax concessions that the rest of us don't get...?
if i were a bank and had to deal with the home owners protection act 2010 i would be unwilling to lend money too. 2. if so many people had not screwed up and built dey house in the extreme wrong location the surveyor report would not be necessary , reap what we sow 3. if banks offered real prequalification more loans would get approved . 4. if land title wasnt useless in the bahamas maybe lenders would have more risk appetite
everyones lives would be so much easier if the banks offered a 'pre-approval' process for potential buyers. if buyers knew how much house they can afford up front they would know how much to look for when buying a home, land or a car. What happens now is the bank tells the people to go find a house to buy and get it in sale process tying up a deposit and start racking up attorney bills only to find out after the fact that they don't qualify to borrow that amount of money. Meanwhile in the rest of the developed world you know in 10 minutes if you are going to be able to borrow that money regardless of whether the title is good. so bass ackwards.
may have some good benefits. many times the burglar will take the video recording box with them and then the cameras are of 0 use. A cloud upload has its limitations too when the ISP is notoriously unstable and unable to provide sufficient bandwith to support an upload (yes look at both of you providers)
I find it interesting that the bah government will step in in this instance but in so many others it is blind. is this a new step ? how about proper land registration ...
