well, the construction of the home employed dozens and put food on the table for many many people. at some point some Bahamian directly and monetarily benefited from the sale of the land even if it was sold over a few times to different foreigners. meanwhile the USA and UK seems to care almost entirely about immigration check and the customs is always a waive through? I thought import duties were supposed to disappear after VAT? if there were no import duties then there would be no need for customs to check every bag?
