when something, anything directly affects and impacts many many voting Bahamians is it not fair game to conduct said business in an open and transparent manner? Does the use of or collection of taxes from the multitude not require disclosure and open communication? The automatic hiding of everything leads to the perception of corruption regardless of whether the ill intent is actually present in the moment. why not share the details that affects how many thousands of tax paying voting public?
another major govt expenditure which will be conducted behind closed doors. Again. no FOIA again. maybe a FOIA would have helped prevent this from occurring in the first place? The govt is 100% immune from it's own laws, correct? How much that COP got paid out? why the secrecy? if it was a fair amount of money then why hide it? it is was fair dealings there is nothing to hide from. its not like he has mattress of money sitting at home for thieves to target. I am sure the first rate COP is squeaky clean and keeps his hard earned winnings in the bank like the rest of us right? nothing to see here, move along move along.
