By far the most disappointing action this government has taken ,( besides stir up the unnecessary drama about gambling) is the proposed cutbacks to education. With the amount of crime, social issues and unemployment etc in our country the absolute last place the Government should have cut back was the education budget. Increasing the education, awareness and skills of our population will be the only way we can move forward. Wouldn't it be nice if instead of producing criminals, we would excel at creating individuals who are skilled, responsible, aware, productive and proud of their country?
People are concerned over the economy and the perilous statements our Government is making that may further disadvantage Bahamians. Yet you came on this article to bash the character of the writer? smt. I'm sure you've been taught like many Bahamians that "when you don't have anything constructive to say, stay quiet." You should try it sometime.
“Many criminals are brazen and do not hesitate to use deadly force when confronted.”
Dear Bahamian People, Do better. We are only as strong as our weakest link, criminal activity affects us all.
Also lets treat these islands as our home. Keep it clean! While littering is a huge problem of ours. It is not reassuring to see that most garbage bins are always filled to capacity. Can we please have an increase in garbage collection? Once every 2 weeks and sometimes longer is clearly not cutting it.
smt Let the tourist enjoy themselves they keeping the economy afloat ! we got thousands of jungalis you can reform ! If you want a project aim at the youth of our nation!
Bahamian people need to stop being loyal to parties for no reason. I agree with McCartney ! Lets have a debate ! Our leaders should never back down from an opportunity to share their views with the country. Why should we only listen to them when they are preaching to us in an attempt to gather votes? A debate will allow for a situation where remarks will be accountable.
