Boy things must be bad when they have to stoop down to this to try and get people to vote for them. I don't think there has been a government in my time that can claim the moral high ground and say that all they did was guided by faith and rooted in divine purpose. Maybe some but definitely not all, not even close to all.
Is the price per passnger mile based on a plane that has 300 people? Just wondering if a small plane with 4 people on would ahve to pay as well? If so it would be a lot higher.
Whilst this is a case for Fronting, does it not also show that the only hope many Bahamians have is to go this route. If the Foreign entity could own 40% then this would all be able to operate above board. As it is, only the welathy Bahamins would be able to partcipate in most activities as they would have the capital for the intial investment.
We all know that the EIA will say what is needed to allow the project to occur. Soon we may as well all be eating farmed fish from abroad as we destroy anywhere that helps fish and other animals, in search of that almighty dollar. I agree that we as Bahamians need to make sure the politicians who approve know that this will be their legacy.
Of course they failed. You should be able to get a pass that allows you to use Mutiple buses a day at a reasonable cost, rather then a new rate each time. They should be a set timetable so people can know when to get to the bus stop, and they should only be allowed to stop at the bus stop. Until then it will be just as it is now.
Based on other projects that have been approved I am fairly sure the EIA is just a box ticking office, so that Government can claim there will be no environmental issues. Anyone can see a project such as this is not environmentally friendly. Hope the jobs will be worth it.
We've had this sort of discussion before. You have Hamas which ruled in Gaza, whose sole aim is the destruction of Israel. They attacked and Israel attacked back. Have Israel gone too far, yes, however Hamas still has a number of their people hostage and until they get them back they are unlikely to stop. Why does Hamas not give them back? And i know for you Israel deserves to be gone and you will be happy with that outcome, however the only way that will happen is through their complete destruction and the death of millions.

This needs to happen more often. and at the same time we need to demand better accountability from Government. It can't be a one way street.
