How temporary? I mean on July 10th he inistied that if we gave him 3 days then it would all be over. That was a lie. so are we to wait Until the vaccine? Many more lockdowns to come as every time we open up a bit there may be more spread. If Minnis was smart he would have got the hospitals ready for the next wave. But nope he did nothing .

Dawes says...

Useless Minnis strikes again. If he was actually sincnce about the health issues we face he would have tried to sort the Health Department out from when he got elected. As of now he has done nothing, but he can now use its decrepit state to force a lockdown on Bahamians.

I think the last thing anyone would want is to have a Government Building named after them. You know within a couple years it would be run down as our government can't maintain anything.

On Now you see it . . . and now you don't

Yup we should all hide in our homes until this vaccine comes about. Once it does we will all be back to normal and all the companies will reopen as though nothing happened.

Yawn

Dawes says...

I never said that, but times change and so do people. Unless you think once you supported someone then that was all you were allowed to support. In which case Minnis wins in 2022. But if that was the case Christie would have won in 2017, but then Ingraham would have won in 2012. So guess like most things you should probably think first.

Dawes says...

Yet again what you think and what is actual are two completely different things.

Dawes says...

And herein lies the problem, most don't want Minnis back, but we also don't want Davis in. Hoping for some good independents or for DNA to do a better job. Oh and as most will agree that the last PLP Government was not good, Brave was either complicit in it or was not "Brave" enough to speak out. Either way he should not be called Brave.

Dawes says...

It's (still) a free country so Mr Evans can set up his own clinic and perform the tests at a lower rate if he wants to. There is no one stopping him. I am sure with his connections he will be able to open it in record time as well unlike the regular citizens of this country for whom it would take months or years to do.

On Asking price too steep

This is not a lockdown as you can still go out and about Monday through friday during the day. This is just making sure the only thing you can do is work if you have a job. AS mentioned by jowblow lockdowns only stall the cases, and each time you reopen they will start up again. The idea behind the initial lockdown was to flatten the curve, but also give the Government time to strengthen the health facilities in this country. They did not do that side, so now every time there is a rise they will have to lockdown until a vaccine or admit that we have to live with this and enforce the rules on social distancing.
