Dawes says...

I can't understand why he has not added Exuma, Eleuthera, San Salvador and Berries to the list. all of these are the same as the other islands which have been opened up. If it is true some of these are due to a motorcade then that is spiteful. If they haven't had any cases yet and you are making sure only healthy people can travel then why keep them closed. At the start we were told we would close until we flattened the curve. This has happened and still we are closed. Is the plan to see if you can make the country broke?

Dawes says...

All great but Nassau is collapsing as well, which means there will be no money to fund the family islands anyway.

Dawes says...

They need to do mass testing. This is a lazy way out which doesn't even solve the problem. Those showing today were infected 10-14 days ago. All along this government has not done major testing. Bimini is an ideal place to do this as the population is small. The first case was there in March, as such many others outside the 13 have probably already had it. but without testing they will never know. Seems we will shut down whole islands without knowing if most people have already had it. If we don't have enough maybe they should invite more forefingers to come over if they bring testing equipment.

Dawes says...

This probably means that they will bypass. Normal tough talk by Government to put it in the peoples mind that this may happen and then one day it will.

Dawes says...

Its taken almost 9 months for you to realize this? Why did you not say so at the start?. Why did you not get outside help, or explain why the cost constraints meant that you couldn't. Why does this country always have useless ministers of works?

Dawes says...

How is Abaco A cash cow compared to Nassau. If Abaco is such a cash cow then let them pay real property like those in Nassau do.

Dawes says...

If the tribune would look back on its old newspapers it would find that every year BPL promises this will be the last. Then another huge amount of money is pumped into them and the next year its just as bad. This year will be the same. And as normal nothing will happen. We need news organisations like the Tribune to hold Government to account and investigate why these things are happening. As it is you just report what happened but not why.

So BPL is unable to do its mandate and no one is laid off. How can i get one of these cushy jobs? Can the Government also assume all liabilities for the private sector, that way no one will need to be laid off as it appears not to matter how badly run a company is, Government will never do what is needed.

I agree the police can't be everywhere to deal with this. however when there is a video you can get the people after the fact and take them to court.

Dawes says...
