How does the DIR not have the real property details that they themselves give out? Are they saying they have no clue who is compliant and therefore are just hoping people will tell them?
Try observe the customs line and stop those connected who we can all watch going through without being stopped but needing two or three porters. They'd raise plenty money
Ahh yet again Mr. Fernander has no idea what is going on in an industry, but says if there are issues they will be fixed in the long run. Will only take months or years of going back and forth. As always Government has no idea what it is doing so hits all with the same stick. Its really simple, if i buy a property in an arms length transaction for X amount, that is what it is worth. If a person has to sell quickly that is what it is worth. Soon they will be going into stores saying you can't sell with discounts as the item should be priced higher. Another clear picture that they have no idea how business operates.
Wow, this should have happened in 2020. We should by now know what mistakes were made and what should be done differently in the future and most importantly of all how many people died in Dorian. But i guess as always the powers that be (yes Birdie FNM at the time and LP now) can continue to show they don't actually care as us silly people will continue to vote them in
Where is the journalism in this article? Surely for a reader to decide if the fees are too high you should tell us how much it costs to go land in Turks, Dominican Republic and other areas. Then we can see if ours are reasonable or not. I expect us to be more as that's the benefit of being closer to the US, however if it is outlandishly more than that is silly. Finally the PM needs to do better. Just speak with the person or have someone speak to him, you may not agree at the end but you have heard his arguments and explained why the fees needed to go up. Its not that hard.
There is too much money in keeping the status que so there will be no change. Shame as this island could be much nicer and better run if there was one.
If that was the case why hasn't your PLP gone after them There is nothing to stop them doing it, only either it never happened, or they doing it to so don't want it to stop.
