I understand your position but you think a country where education was free the national average would be higher? Or you think a country built on Christian principles would be more Christ like?

In an ideal world I'm with you 110% but reality is different, swimming lessons are costly and even skilled swimmers can drown.

It's interesting to see what persons write. Truth is I don't agree with the alleged thief being killed but i will in no way defend him if it is found that he was in the act of stealing. Fact of the matter is if he had stolen parts of the car or the entire car it would be extremely unlikely that he would be caught and brought to justice.

I had parts from my car stolen in the past and i will tell you it's no pleasant experience. Thoughts of whether your family and other possession are safe comes into play. If my neighbor had shot the person(s) who stole my belongings I don't envision myself being overly concerned. I and I along was responsible for replacing my parts and saddest part is this was a vehicle that I was still paying for.

My family was still in need of transportation and i was left to provide in unfavorable conditions. Under these circumstances it hard to cry for the thief. Just saying...

'While in the water he appeared to be in distress'. I find this statement disturbing. I'm lead to believe that officers allowed the man to drown before rendering any type of assistance. I'm not suggesting in any way that officers risk their own lives to save the alleged bandit but I'm of the impression that minimal effort was made to save the man before the drowning.

After the man was withdrawn from the water, did officers employ life saving maneuvers? Just Asking...
