Does this really surprise anyone?

We need to get rid of this albatross and immense drain on the national purse. We already have other airlines owned by private entities who have proven they can service the out islands. Why not give them initial short-term subsidies to finance more planes to take over the Bahamasair role, then consign Bahamasair to the junk heap it belongs?

Regardless, I have no idea where you get your information from -- MP LBT stays in many hotels/guest houses in Long Island, both north and south. Why do you want to make this an FNM issue when the topic is why the PLP have chosen to change a 40-year old contract now -- especially after PM Christie has made it clear that he hopes these contracts are given to his friends and supporters?

It will be very interesting indeed to see who owns these high-end homes! Wonder if we will every be told? As with everything else lately, this information never seems to find the light of day.

Don't you mean 1 am, NOT 1 pm? Either way, not good Bahamas. We must do better than that.

Besides, is there only one person capable of running the airport? The air traffic controller should be fired. No questions asked. They must have known the flight was enroute, albeit delayed. Besides, it would just have been more overtime for them.

“Thus a viable path to reorganisation in the Bahamas is available and is already in progress. The Bahamian proceedings will expedite completion of the project and serve the best interests of the creditors and the estates.”

Who is CCA kidding? The very reason Baha Mar filed for Chapter 11 in the US Bankruptcy Court is because no such option exists in the Bahamas. There is no "viable path to reorganisation" in the Bahamas. There only exists a winding down, a full bankruptcy with no chance for reorganisation, just a takeover by the Chinese CA and the Bahamian government.

Does this mean they are trying to force the takeover of the Melia as well now by deliberately witholding financing? All for us, baby!

As for the "best interests", NONE of this is being done in the best interests of the Bahamian people. The fiasco continues.

The madness continues....

In each incident, a handgun is present. Here's a clue -- get rid of the guns.

And this, folks, is the product of our education system -- people too stupid to realise their stupidity has consequences. And where is child services for the little baby made to pose with drugs and weapons? No wonder our children are so messed up when they have stupid criminals for parents.

I'd think getting crime under control would be a far better measurement of the PLPs ability to lead -- they've already badly bungled BahaMar, so that donkey's fled the paddock.

Oh, with the Baha Mar debacle, I'd almost forgotten about the Urban Renewal fiasco. That's probably what they were hoping for anyway...

Accountability is a word this government doesn't understand.
