Amazing, the first three articles today are about bail given to individuals who participated in criminal activity AND where given a Get-Out-Of Jail low value bail. I understand there is a cost/burden to keeping individuals in an overcrowded jail. I also see the amounts placed on the Bail should be relative to the economic standing of the individual & extent of the crime. But often we see repeat offenders with multiple charges getting out with low bail, paid from questionable sources & ankle monitors. So what are the incentives to minimize criminal activities beyond experiencing time in a deplorable jail?
Degrees? Your thinking of degrees when 90% of todays students won't graduate high school above near failure! Failure of the School Industry/Politics to teach these generations is the cause. Addictive phones add to it. Vocational clases add insight & experience to the job market.
It's not nice to stick-it to visiting high value yachtsmen, they take their toy$ elsewhere & stick-it back to you. Luxury Private Aircrafts next? Let's get smart, for a change.
Why spend money on marketing to a highly controlled clientele? Demand restoration of the airport ASAP while improving the overnight hotel options. The cruise-client is merely tasting from a limited menu, not the buffet offerings of a culture. Promote the offerings to repeat overnighters, not the samplers; they will hear of the experience they missed & become repeaters. I tire of hearing "Oh yeah, we know Bahamas, we stoped at Such&Such Key for a day" ...Really!!!
Although the distances are different, this concept appears similar to what Australia had compiled for medical services in the outback communities. If it sounds familiar? There is a TV show on pbs "rfds: Royal Flying Doctor Services". Much needed.
Why are you surprised? You knew the business model is based on controlling everything from the participants, to accessibility, to client's movements & ultimately the money... which rarely leaves the boat! Everyone complains about monopolized market. Well this is the professional version, based on the Walt Disney example. This is the Cruise Industry...You only get a morsel of the banquet. Politicians drown in the visitor numbers!
Standards need to be met & maintained, as was learned by post hurricane Andrew's visit in South Florida. Contractor corner cutting with obvious crruption, with poor management of standards by contractors & government became evident; at the cost to insurance and ultimately, the owners.

Whales are marine mama's, the UK country is Wales. Relying on spell-check or AI just indicates laziness & lack of attention. Too common today.
