This is so unfair and untransparent. It is pandering to the select, privileged few. Why give them extra time? If this offering was open to all Bahamians, as it should have been, then the shares would have been oversubscribed in the first few days. It is just more evidence of the corruption in this country. The wealth is for a few, a club, and you and I and almost all Bahamians are not in it. Say what you like but Hubert Ingraham empowered the masses by mandating that shares in cable Bahamas, the Port, Commonwealth Brewery be offered to EVERY single Bahamian. Mr. Bowe, this govt and this select club of investors disgust me. They have every intention of later offering shares to all Bahamians, of course at a much inflated price. How these people sleep at night is beyond me, they are crooked and corrupt. We desperately need change in this country.

BISX does not need to be shuttered, it just needs to be fixed. Fix the website, fix the financial reporting, fix the illiquidity.

The new BISX website is an unmitigated disaster, and a complete embarrassment. It does not work. At least the old, boring website worked, the new one is an exercise in nothing but aggravation and futility. Trying to use this website is a quick path to the deepest depths of hell. It is far more frightening than anything Dante could have imagined in his divine comedy! Someone really should be fired.

Another problem is the chronically late posting of financial statements. It really hinders this market, I am a relatively active retail investor and it is so aggravating, most times it is better to go to the company website and they have their statements posted weeks and sometimes months before BISX. Mr. Holland Grant who posts or tries to post these statements really needs to be fired, it is so unacceptable. Please fix this damn website!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As for the illiquidity, why not simply let shares trade in a wider bandwidth, say 20% rather than the current 10%. Yes, there will be more volatility but shares would be more liquid. As the recent experience with BOB shares have shown if you increase the bandwidth, prices will fall and shares will trade.

...and the $482,000 paid to Leno corporate services for the recent BOB share offering which was completely subscribed for by the govt., absolutely criminal, we need to know who owns this company and why the government was ripped off yet again.

These arrogant, thin skinned, fat cat politicians, especially Fred Mitchell, seem to forget they are supposed to be servants of the people. We pay the salary of the prime minister, not the other way around. And no disrespect but we are tired of being neglected and abused by his government and all previous ones as well. He thinks one letter and the promise of a meeting can placate our just grievances. We are tired, tired, tired of his platitudes and false promises, he will find out shortly at the ballot box.

Top of the List- Alfred Gray has to Go! He is an affront to the Bahamian people. We demand accountability of this government or it will be voted out.

Large, peaceful demonstrations like I hope tomorrow's will be are really the only hope for needed, meaningful change in our Bahamas. We have been cursed with poor leaders and no statesmen whatsoever since independence. Simply elites on both sides who put private interests ( their own) above the common good, and we are now paying the price of forty plus years of corruption and abuse. I am hopeful that change will come because with our debt, and crime our backs are against the wall, frightened too because there is no more margin for error, a few more years of this and we may become an irreversible failed state. Please Bahamians lose your apathy and demand change and accountability!

We need a commission of inquiry into BOB. Why will the FNM not pledge to do that? I am tired of the fnm just criticizing this corrupt govt, tell us that these criminal acts will be prosecuted and let the chips fall where they may. It is not sufficient to just criticize, what will the FNM do to correct the situation? The Bahamian people deserve justice as already almost 200 million of our tax dollars/ NIB funds have been used to float this bankrupt bank with almost assuredly at least that much again needed to avoid liquidation.

Welcome to the " real " world Mr. Miller. One where you actually have to pay for a product to receive it - the free ride is over. Imagine that! Now please will you and your deadbeat family please pay your bill, I always pay mine on time and I am tired of subsidizing your electricity use. Coincidentally my electricity has never been turned off. Might have something to do with the fact that I live within my means and pay my bill on time. Try it, it works. Accept some responsibility and stop blaming foreigners for your problems.
