The single use plastic bag is a huge problem on family islands, discarded bags everywhere and some getting to the landfill but that can not be the solution. Land is too precious and there won't be any more made. BPL comments are right on. I have been trying to get solar farms going on my island but BPL wont let that happen. Instead they keep saying an RFP will be issued but they are over a year behind schedule. If they had worked with a developer we could have had a solar farm up and running by now, supplying electricity at half the current rates and drastically cut diesel fuel use. When will they hear the message that this can't wait
