I agree. The Regulations are on-line "Companies Non-Profit Organisations) Regulations, 2014" and are all about terrorist financing and the Anti Terrorism Act.
Bahamians maybe guilty of many things but terrorism is not one of them.
So the Registrar thinks that100 of the Non-Profits might be sponsoring terrorism? This Regulation, as I read it speaks only to financing of terrorism.
Don't you have to have a reasonable suspicion before you ask? If not, then you can use it as an excuse to look at anyone the government does not like.
So you also sent a letter to the BNT and Breef as well, of course not. What active non-profits like reEarth and the like? Others that have filed cases to protect the environment, something the National Trust and Breef are to scared to do, have you sent them a notice?
Dare you to publish the list of those served with a notice.
Many in the Private Sector are scared of their own shadow. But for the family inheritance they would starve. But for a protectionist system they would be out of business. These guys couldn't compete against any real foreign competition. The Bahamas is saddled with a bunch of inferior businesses.
Emmmm......so what about the 1987 election? The only ones who undermine our sovereignty are ourselves......lack of ballot papers...delay voting........ballot papers that should have been destroyed two years after the last election still in the ballot box and so on.
Yes, we should have international observers...it will help keep our democracy.

Where were all the tourists staying there tonight. Did say that it was open. That means real business, with real guests.
Oh, was this just a sham for the elections?

Shocked he is not, saddened, maybe.
But why make a statement about it at all?
Because he doesn't have a clue how to run the country or fix its economic problems.
If this man truly wanted to stop crime he would be working on the economy so as to be in a position to alleviate the poverty in this Country.
Poverty has created the social ills that are at the root of crime.
But not a word on the economy.

Looks like it. They had the opportunity to push for the Fiscal Responsibilities Act and blow it.
Dimwits is correct.
Even the IDB expected The Bahamas to implement fiscal responsibility and the government expected that they would have to pass one to get the VAT.
