I would have hoped that the BFS would have already spoken to the Economist, not to mention any necessary authority, to explain that what they said was untrue or needed clarification.

I would have hoped that the Minister would have come to the House to report on the success of these communications.

Amazing how quickly they can come up with a law like this but can't produce a Freedom of Information law after 5 years.

Birdie you really need to check you facts. Mr. Smith has won many cases that most thought impossible.
He has always stood up for peoples rights. Years ago, he won a case for Harvey Tynes QC who had been wrongfully detained by the police. He has been doing human rights cases almost his entire career.

He has been in land actions as well.

He was very deserving of being made a QC.

This is not "any third party" this is a case of those paying part of the price being entitled to see where there money is going. This is a public matter not a private one.

The Hawksbill Creek Agreement is there for all to see. Same thing.

Labour in The Bahamas is known around the world as having a disgusting attitude and poor productivity. The Prime Minister and his government know that.

The PLP, over the last 40years, created this monster, now they have to reshape it and that will not be easy.

**Bahamians are entitled to a first opportunity at the job**,they then have to perform and be on time. If they don't perform or can't show up to work on time, ten they must expect to lose their job.

**Bahamians are not entitled to be employed, whether they work or not, just because they are Bahamians**.

Won't vote FNM, don't want to vote PLP, but I will vote. So the DNA is certainly worth taking a look at.

The DNA needs to have its convention, showcase a good plan for digging the country out of its problems (economic and social), nominate some reasonable candidates and get some sound financing........then it will have my vote for sure.

Economist says...

That is why the smart QC is a QC and Bethel is not. Of course it can be challenged and Smith is not the only lawyer who believes this.

What Bethel is really saying is that the **FNM don't have the balls** to challenge the PLP.

**Lots of empty talk, that is all the FNMs are**. What a waste of time.

You mention Anbang and hotels in large cities that do not rely on tourists to fill their rooms.

Freeport's "Our Lucaya" is owned by a group that was successful in owning hotels in cities. Did not know anything about the tourism industry and have been a disaster for Freeport.

I wouldn't get to enthusiastic just yet,
