Require that they get tested on arrival and retested 4 days later at their own cost. Most boaters are well off enough to pay for the tests.

Economist says...

We are going to need the Ministry of Health to devise new protocols that permit a business to deep clean and then recommence business, maybe with a requirement that the negatives all be retested 5 or 6 days later.

We can't keep shutting a business down for 14 days because someone tests poistive. The businesses will be forced to shut down and fire everyone.

Economist says...

The government has no plan. Just close. They don't test so they have allowed COVID-19 to spread like wild fire.

They will bankrupt the entire business community.

Other countries are funding business but "this government is anti-business".

Economist says...

***"Germany announced on Monday a programme of free, mandatory coronavirus testing for travellers returning from a list of high-risk countries. The list currently includes Brazil, Turkey and the US, and officials said it will be updated daily."***

Germany is a country of roughly 90,000,000 people and less than 10,000 deaths. That's like the US only having 40,000 deaths instead of 150,000.

Germany got testing early on and continue to test. They don't wait to see if some one comes down or try to send everyone home for 14 days quarantine.

They test and test and test.

On ALL arrivals must quarantine for 14 days

The Government also needs to give money to all the other airlines in the country. At least they act responsibly.

They should really shhut Bahamasair down. Its losses represent nearly 10% of the Country's national debt.

Economist says...

The prime minister's latest emergency orders on international travel now makes it possible for travelers from all countries to enter the country, including commercial air travelers from the United States, subjecting all visitors to mandatory quarantine.

So who is going to visit? Most come for a few days. This means no one will come except maybe some winter residents.

PM must have COVID-19 with high fever.....and is delirious.

Economist says...

In all fairness to the PM, he did beg Bahamians "not to go" when he opened the boarders.

But, with our low grade D mentality we went anyway.

On learning what to do with COVID-19 we Bahamians got a D-.

Economist says...

I hear that some Bahamians came to visit from the US and said that they were not required to provide a test or quarentine when they arrived in Nassau before flying to Grand Bahama.
They came for a funeral in Grand Bahama, the church was packed (men of the cloth did not worry about social distancing).
We all know what has happened.

Way too much slackness.

Economist says...

Shut it down.
Put us out of our missery.
We are a tired people, tired of paying and paying and never seeing any return.

I nam informed that the contract tracing is nearly non existant. They had a government employee who is a receptioist at government department and they haven't contacted any businesses that use it.

Think of all the persons who were exposed and could have been tested (sorry government waits till people get sick to test) and who could now be spreading COVID-19.

Dahl Regis too busy saving money and not testing.

Bring Sands back.
