You need to start reading up on all the International Treaties that The Bahamas has agreed to at the United Nations. I think you will find the answer there.
This has something to do with compliance of something we already agreed to do.
You should read up on the way many British felt when Jamaican immigrants were given new homes while many who had been bombed out their own homes had to wait.
The Bahamas has,over the last forty years, gone out of its way to protect Bahamians.

PLP issued way too many taxi plates. Many drivers have two or more taxi plates.
Most taxi's are in poor condition. No right minded person would want to get into their broken vehicles.
