He is a greedy old man. I saw him in action last year. He is nowhere near as sharp as he used to be.
Not worth $140,000.00 in the first place. Last government knew how to keep it all in the family. Hiring people like him who they did not need. A waste of money.
Birdie, if you want to eat what you want, fine, but don't ask me to pay for your doctors bills for your high blood pressure, your heart attacks, your diabetes, and your cancer, all induced by bad eating habits.
When will these two clowns, Newbold and Rolle, get it? All they do is repeat what Carnival says. They have no new ideas
Carnival is the last one anyone needs.
Rolle and his side kick, Newbold, should be promoting real tourism like golf and boating. Ones that create real jobs for Bahamians and oppertunity for ownership. But wait, that means that they will have to think and do some work.
The GBPA is useless. We must get new ownership and some real managers into the GBPA.
The PLP hired hundreds more civil servants than were needed and more than the country can afford. The PLP was counting on blaming the IMF for requiring it to let the civil servants go. The PLP knew that The Bahamas could not afford to pay all of the civil servants, that they hired, for very long.
The PLP shirked their responsibility and now the current government is in the unenviable position of having to it to save the country.
Finally. However the tax should not cut in until Earnings before Taxes exceeds 10 Million.
The Bahamas can then enter into Double Taxation Treaties and US corporations, for example, who make a profit here and currently don't pay any tax still pay their full 35% to Uncle Sam would, with a Double Taxation Treaty, then pay 10% to The Bahamas and the remaining 25% to Uncle Sam.
This is a very positive step in The Bahamas collecting millions that the other governments are currently getting.
