The fact is, if we don't nip this thing in the bud, it's gonna blow up in our faces. Don't mind the noise in the market. The majority of Bahamians support Mr. Mitchel's policies and those of you who talkin' bout Haitians can't afford it talkin a bunch of shit! I know many Haitian men who have children here for one woman and children in Haiti for another woman. If they would only stop breeding like gad dam rabbits they wouldn't have to send every penny they earn back home! Oh and I am not talking arbitrarily, I can always back up my statements.
@birdie: Don't be ridiculous! Only one party rewards people for having a criminal background and or being booted from some organization for questionable practices.
She holdin up her three fingers to say that only three-member appeals panel was needed to make her feel invincible. Before I used to get upset with the culture of the Bahamian people, now I just everything with a grain of salt
We??????????????? You think WE the people are ever included in these decisions? Ultimately, thisisours, the opposition can only talk, talk, talk. They do not the authority to prosecute these crooks. What the next government needs to do is actually prosecute someone who is found guilty through commission of inquiry, then the people wouldn't mind the money spent on the investigation. This would then start a trend, where these dirty, food for nothing politicians would think twice before robbing their own people blind.
Stupid, stupid, stupid Bahamians. These officials need to come to grip that a large percentage of these jobs (especially construction) are already taken by Haitian workers. Legal yes, but their permits are certainly not for the company they work for. Companies contracted to do work for Lyford Cay and Albany have thousands working under this condition. The employers are saying that Bahamian young men do not want to work or are not good workers. Whether this is true or not, these employers are still breaking the law. Anyways... the majority of Bahamians are familiar with this fact. It is only when we pull our heads out of our asses will this situation improve.
While the columnist might have made some good points in this article, I beg to differ with regards to Fred's true intentions. If ya ask me, everyone is playing politics with this immigration situation. The hard fact is, during the raid or 'round up', led by McCartney, under the FNM, this man had nothing to say. This leads me to believe that he simply does not like the PLP and will take any necessary action to make this party look small. Trust me, he is making noise not because he really cares about Haitian immigrants in the Bahamas, he is only trying to put spokes in the wheels of this government, period! I am certainly not a fan of the PLP, but I have a problem when someone calls out a government just because of some hidden agenda.
