Sorry Thisisours, but some people do not understand diplomacy. Even the bible says do not cast your pearls to swine. My mother always used to give the ultimatum of living by her rules or else move out from under her roof. I never rebel against her because of her stance- I knew she cared and I always appreciated everything she did for me. This analogy can be applied to the situation with the illegal immigrants in the Bahamas who are told to get their house in order or leave. Most choose to rebel, use threats or question authorities.

"The mission of Haiti was to dispel this degradation and dangerous delusion, and to give to the world a new and true revelation of the black man's character. " mission failed!!!...For those of you who see this as a black and white issue, that's your prerogative. Fight the good fight and do your thing. IF you truly believe in what you believe in then go back to Africa and fight from where your roots lie. Ya see, mouth can say anything. Don't sit in your air-conditioned room and talk about the roots of slavery and how it is applicable to this situation-Get up and demonstrate if you truly believe what you say you believe. In the mean time, no foreigner can dictate to Bahamians what the laws should be regarding illegal migrants or even demand us to respect those who have invaded our country for years. Respect begat respect. In other words, you can only respect those who respect you. And trust me, trespassing on someone else's property is definitely showing lack of respect.

If you look around you and if you read then you would see that the Bahamas is not the only place that is making drastic changes regarding laws and policies relative to illegal immigrants-USA, Trinidad and Tobago, Dominican Republic are all trying to get rid of access baggage (not to be taken literally). So skin color is irrelevant. You are held accountable for everything you do in another man's country. And by the way I believe Bahamians have done more than show gratitude. Shit! We have opened our doors and shared everything we gat over 40 years. The thing is though, as soon as you cross the line by disrespecting a country's sovereignty and laws, all the privileges you once enjoyed should immediately revoked.

Listened to all of the audio playbacks. What has happened to Georges? Was he just absent for that one segment or do they feel that his stance on this matter is too pro Haitian?

@deddie. You are trying your best to be the objective voice. But that Haitian heritage in you is pulling you steadfast into the banana field. Sorry this is cut and dry. The only way to solve this problem is to get rid of the Haitian masses. This may sound ugly, but the grim reality is there is no getting around what needs to be done now.

Blind John never sees the truth. He only supports conspiracy theories goblins and supernatural happenings. But I have noticed a trend: Whenever he sees that his theory is knocked out of the water by too many commenters, he disappears for a few days. ):

The Jetta lady asserts that the illegal migration problem is a big political game being played by the Bahamian government . She is right with that point. Both the PLP and FNM are guilty of giving away Bahamian passports and citizenship to Haitian descendants in exchange for votes. This has been going on for years. I have been casting the blame solely on the biggity Haitians for this catastrophe we face. But in reality the past governments should also carry a large part of the blame. They have put all right thinking Bahamians in this position where we are being threatened by fake Bahamians in our own country. I see this situation getting worst, because hear me when I say it: Bahamians don't stand up for much. But oh threaten their livelihoods and their sovereignty and see their reaction!

The time has come for all true Bahamians to put pettiness aside, and come together to get this country back on the right path. We need to enact laws that will protect our country from any further damages brought on by this illegal migration problem. Our laws and policies must be clear on who qualifies for citizenship and what the requirements are. I have a good hunch though that the next government elected will be the one that puts forward the best solution for ridding this country of the plague of rowdy illegal Haitians.

"Current Prime Minister Perry G Christie, on the other hand, has finally found something to leave a good legacy." You are talking a bunch of shyte. Perry Christie will go down in history as the worst prime minister on the planet. I agree, Ingraham should never even think about returning as leader of the FNM. I was a big supporter of Ingraham and I would never support Ingraham returning to active politics. You are comparing the legacy of Pindling to that of Ingraham. That don't even make sense. Pindling lead a monopoly government for almost three decades, using victimization and scare tactic to keep the opponent at a disadvantage. That act in itself should diminish any legacy people want to pin to Pindling. There was nothing special about what he did for this country. The things that he put in place was what he was elected to do. If you really want to measure the positive impact a leader has on a country, check out the status of education. The Bahamas has one of the worst records in education and technology in the hemisphere.

I don't understand why people would even try to compare the PLP with the FNM party. The difference always boils down to integrity. One has integrity the other doesn't, simple! Ingraham gave the people one of the most important tool in a democracy, a voice. I am sad that he did this, cause ya can't even turn ya dial to a radio station and listen to music anymore. Every station has some talk show. This one act of opening the airwaves has made the political field equal for all parties. I can go on and on and list the things that the Ingraham administration implemented that has tremendously changed the lives of many Bahamians . But that's too tedious. Any honest person can look around and see for himself or herself.

Well I describe them as roaches:Crawling all over the place infecting areas with bacteria, producing eggs and populating everywhere they go. I could give a fck what people say about my demeanor. I am speaking from experience. No hear say here. Those who are not affected directly by these rodents will never really know the severity of these people.
