Wow that's some scary stuff. The lady is lucky the police came on time. I hope she is doing well. I had a huge pit bull once that I was keeping for a friend. I had to let him go after he snapped at me and punctured my wrist with his teeth. Luckily it wasn't damaging. The thing is I usually see kids walking the streets with these dogs, some carrying two at a time, and even on public beaches. What happened in this situation was very unfortunate and I hope we learn something from this mishap.

Economist usually gives some meaningful insights into most subjects that pass through these forums. However, he is always adamant about anything to do with Haitian privileges in the Bahamas (not usually other foreigners), and he leans towards any laws or policies that are geared towards naturalizing Haitian descendants by the masses. Economist will never admit that he has a horse in this race when it comes to Haitians gaining some leverage in this society. It is quite evident in all of his comments regarding this subject.

As I said before, and I will say over and over again. Most of the Haitians that reside in this country do not deserve to be here, much less become citizens. They have NO respect for our laws, our culture and as SP always puts it, they are parasites. I have friends who are Haitians and I always express my feelings to them. Most agree that their "people" have a far way to go when it comes to respecting other countries laws. I just recently visited Fort Lauderdale and I was astounded by what I saw. Thousands of Haitians have migrated to that city and they are doing the same thing there that they are doing in this country. Selling alcohol without license, making babies and living in squander and the list goes on. Folks, I may sound harsh in my description of our southern brothers and sisters. But ya see, I am a realist. I cannot pretend just because everyone else have their heads up their asses and do not wish to see what's going on in their own country. I would gladly vote for ALL of the bills if I could trust this government or if we had a functional, non corrupted immigration department. Sure I believe that the Bahamas needs to move out of the dark ages and grant women the same rights as men. But boy...with this government being the conductor of this thing...I dunno, we shall see!

I would vote for Sands any day over this wutless bunch. Say what ya like about the man, but when is opens his mouth he speaks facts and he is well informed about whatever he brings up. Bahamians are used to the loud, slick talking, jokey leaders of the pass, who are ineffective in todays society. We need a straight talking leader who will run this country like a real businessman. Not someone who shuffles and giggles when he is about to partake in some shady deal. The Bahamian people need someone to run this country other than crooked lawyers who are connected to so many colleagues and are therefore obligated to dish out favours to these people. I say bring the good doc and Loretta and we will see a vast change in this country!

" No one should have the rights to deceive another person about their sexuality." Agreed 100% Your argument is so much more valid when you do not bring religion in it. I am a strong believer of Jehovah God and his son Jesus, but I never bring it up in a conversation or an argument unless I am discussing it with someone who shares my belief.

Voltaire-Pastors would support anything brought forward by their ordained government, as long it ain' nothin' to do with gambling or any hint of sissyism. Cause gambling would take too much money from their offering plates and anything to do with sissying makes them feel insure about their own behaviors. Beware of those who talk out about something the strongest. They are usually the ones committing the act!
