Well_mudda_take_sic what gone down man? I only been gone from this page for about six months and in that short time you have been promoted to the MVP of the page?

It is always interesting to see this Jamaican troll show its ugly head whenever there is an immigration matter in the Bahamas. One would think that they have enough problem of their own to deal with. In short, proud Jamaicans should be the last people on the planet to even try to use any word that is related to "rights"! My extra senses are telling me that this person has an axe to grind with the Bahamas and in particular, the Immigration Department of the Bahamas.

The problem that I have with Haitian descendants is that they are fixed on trying to make the government and Bahamians bend to meet their needs, no matter how outrages! They never see themselves as being responsible for the situation they're in-It is always someone else's fault. So when this woman grind for this child and conceived, she was Haitian. She had the opportunity then to get her child a Haitian passport. But no, in her mind, she believes that the child should get a Bahamian passport. So without knowing her child's future health problems, SHE alone placed her child in this predicament by not apply for a passport. The child not having access to proper medical facility is NOT the problem here. This whole situation is about entitlement and trying to bully the government and the Bahamian people. And trust me, Fred Smith is behind this facade. Look at this lady's face, or listen to her rantings about suing the government or her not wanting her child to have a Haitian passport. This lady is a fake! If she was really serious about her child getting medical treatment, she would look at other options, such as Cuba. Or she even Haiti. They love to wave their flags and sing praises about a place that they don't want to be a part of. Go figure! I hope that the child gets the treatment she needs, but the mother needs to be honest, accept responsibility for her negligence and simply look at the other options.

Yes the Bahamas is one of the most backward countries when it comes to digital communications. But I guess I was dreaming for a moment. Maybe next 100 years, when the world has floating cars!

Well, to be quite honest, the whole world is moving towards digital communications. Companies in the Bahamas need to get on board and start using email as the main source of communication for christ sake! However, the emphasis should be on prompt mail delivery for packages and stuff like that. But there is absolutely no reason why everyone should NOT be receiving bills, quotes, or any other letter type format via email.

First of all the Bahamas is NOT a part of the Caribbean or West Indies, at least not geographically. Culturally yes. But what does that have to do with us speaking out against illegal Haitians who invade our shores by the hundreds each year, having scores of children that they cannot afford and turn around and the demand that these children have access to free schooling, medical care and citizenship. Further, hey build these makeshift shacks all over the place, endangering the lives of other residents who are struggling financially just to live in safe, hazard free environment. Then on top of these, they cry foul when the government tells them that they have to remove these shacks-To add insult to injury, they insist that it is the government's responsibility to find replacement housing for them, while the average Bahamian have to struggle to meet mortgage payments along with other bills. These are the same people who send back millions of dollars each year to Haiti!

You people really take Bahamian people for asses! So Malcolm, take your sob story and get real. Oh and you too can CYBC!

Please stop! No one is a criminal until he/she is found guilty in a court of law. Our desperation for a decrease in crime must not get us riled up so emotionally that we begin to support vigilante justice, or law enforcement officers targeting young black males, just because they look like criminals or is "well known" by the police. we all know that the majority of police officers are rogue untrained males who are also the product of our broken society. So let's stop pretending.

The government needs to get its act together in regards to the justice system and reaching out to impressionable youth in our society, by creating programs that help to counteract the lack of good parenting that is so rampant in our Bahamas.
