Otherwise, just get rid of the inspection department of the Ministry of Works. Stop messing with other builders and stop asking other builders for structural plans. Allow Bahamians to squat on farm land to build their homes. Allow residents in neighborhoods throughout the Bahamas to run "drop cords" to create fire hazard zones in these hoods.
Sorry Mr. "deranged" Smith, but being poor does not trump obeying the law. (No pun intended here) We all have our struggles, yet we all have to pay taxes and obey the law. Where ever I go in the world I always like to feel safe and relaxed, especially in an area where natives hang out. Most Bahamians are genuinely warm people. It is the few bad apples that really misrepresent the majority.
Why are our officials so damn stupid?! If the Fry does NOT meet the requirements for visitors or is NOT considered a safe zone, simply clean it up! Jezus! Simply enforce the law, get the stall owners on board and make them see that it is incumbent on them to manage the area and report any crime. It is their business on the line! Better yet, the lazy ass Arawak Cay Association need to get into action and protect their investment and stop depending on government. Oh, and get rid of all the dam Haitians who work there- Especially the ones that make conch salad. This "Native" village should be manned by Bahamians. If I were the government, I would put it to the people. But the decriminalizing aspect should be carried out now without any further talks. Too many young people with great potentials have been marred by a joint. All in all though, how could the Bahamas go wrong by at least making it legal for medical purposes? The recreational use should be put on hold after more public debate. (And I am not referring to the weed heads whose argument is nonsensical)

Why do we always try to cloud the issues on the matter of illegal (Haitian) migrants???????? I am just baffled by this damn article. What are these guys really suggesting?? Are they indirectly threatening the government to NOT uphold the law? What the F is going in this country? Every damn business that I know who hire individuals always do a background check, demand that the prospective employee produce a government issued ID along with a police record. So stop this bullshit about employers NOT knowing who is legal or illegal. This illegal migrant thing runs deeper than I thought. We would be surprise about how many prominent businesses are benefiting from hiring illegal migrants. I see now that these people don't give a shit about the average Bahamians. They only care when you enter their establishment to do business. SMFT
