Absolutely! And this is the reason why jackasses like Paul Major should never be pulled out of retirement just for political favors. Sometimes I am baffled by the logic of this poo-hole government: How can you bring back someone who has failed in one entity and expect for him to succeed in another? Further, how do they even think they can get away with reimbursing some vendors while overlooking others. These greedy Bahamians could give a shit about fairness of process. Bahamians are the most horrible people on God's green earth when it comes to being honest, especially in business ventures!
I don't know about injecting $50 million in the economy. What I do know is that the opening was spectacular and was well organized. I had the opportunity to judge one of the competitions and I must say I am extremely proud of our young entertainers. I must have been hiding under a rock, because I was pleasantly surprised at the level of musicianship and quality performance that was presented by the Bahamian entertainers. I can safely say that our music and culture is well alive in the hands of our talented youth! I was one of the doubting Thomas's, but I have to admit that Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival impressed me.
I agree with all who suggest that DNA is the only viable choice at this time. As SP suggested, the DNA cannot be worst than the PLP or FNM. Voting for this party would certainly put the power back in the hands of the people. All these politicians would see that we are tired of the back and forth bullshit of the two major parties. They have both failed miserably. Time to cut our losses and move on!
@ThisisOUrs...Dodo bird? Lol. You are too polite. So are you saying that birdie belongs to that group of birds that have been dodoing on Bahamians head for the past two and a half years?
Yes it is a dangerous trend. But unfortunately for us, there is nothing we can do at this time except grin and bare it. The people who put this crew in fail to see the damage they have done to this country. As a matter of fact, most PLPs could care less about the future of this country, they care about here and now. They are complacent, even living in these shacks with nasty outside toilets. So all we can do is pray that there is some divine intervention before election. Otherwise, the next government of the Bahamas will have to be very, very careful with their handling of the public purse.
