There is nothing unusual about the lack of response from the public in this matter. It is an accepted fact which is documented in the literature of social psychology that people will refrain from getting involved in these incidents. It is called Bystander Apathy.

Until and unless we clear up the corruption in our country where the big ones get away with theft then will individuals who are motivated to intervene will no longer be of the view that that they will be risking their lives.

Only a National Campaign on inculcating and reinforcing in the minds of our citizens that we are indeed the keepers of our brothers and sisters can stop this recalcitrant attitude.

This photo of Brave is looking like something to come. It looks like he is arrested and handcuffed. And being led into the lockups where he will eventually end up. Who does he think will believe his lie that the Americans have not yet released the name of the politician involved in this case ? They have released the other names but not the big guy. Please. Really. Come on.

Wow. If this is not pandering to a special interest group then it is sheer fear of a group of deranged people who have a gun to the head of this Government. There is no where else in the world, from my research, where a Government has done this kind of unthought through nonsense which will redound to the disadvantage of its citizens. What is so special about the Rasta group? They abuse the term religion. Their convoluted thinking should not be placed in the same category of historically accepted religions. To continue to let these nuts have a say in our country’s moral values is to open the door for the rise of similar groups and other perverted practices masquerading as religious sacraments. It is time for this government to show some testicular fortitude.

Why this focus on denial. This drug is dangerous. Have you ever seen a frequent user, ostensibly for medical purposes, appear normal. He is invariably filthy in appearance, unkempt and on the margins of insanity? No sane person in full control of his/her mental faculties would go down this road to insanity? Please provide the name of one doctor who prescribes this poison to anyone in the Bahamas unless they have the same greed as Matthew Perry’s doctors? In prescribing Ketamine to this man, their comment was” how much is this MORON prepared to pay for this prescription .”

The use of the term medical marijuana is humorous. It is akin to using the term a considerate rapist. Nothing could be more destructive to one’s health like this dangerous drug called marijuana. The empirical evidence emerging from the scientific journals is that it is a gateway to cocaine, ketamine, and heroin. It is time to revoke the legalization of this poison before it is too late.

It is worse when you do that. We have 400,000 people and Qatar has 3 million. Do the math.

These figures represent the total number of murders in each country during the last 10 years.

Over 1,000 in the Bahamas compared to 225 in Kuwait compared to 9 in Qatar.

Someone in Qatar or Saudi Arabia or Kuwait would never think of committing this atrocious act because they know their neck would be popped. We have to enforce the death penalty which is still on the books. The Privy Council must stop preventing the legal system in our country from imposing the mandatory death penalty for crimes like this. And Human Rights Groups have to stop their softie softie approach in equating a dangerous criminal’s life with the life of a normal person. Tell me why we don’t see this kind of behavior in the Middle East? For example, Look at Kuwait. How many murders have taken place there over the last twenty years and then compare that figure with the number of murders in the Bahamas. Potential murderers will think twice before they commit this act. There is just too many murders taking place in our land. Too many and we need to stop them. The Demonstration Effect is a powerful disincentive to murder.

This is a crying shame. If it is not one thing it is something else. What ever happened to the Prime Minister’s promise a few years back that all problems with electricity on Providence, and the other islands, were over. With the new team, the the new generators and the new partnership every thing was going to be honky dory. But now we’re back to square one. We are sick and tired of this incompetent leadership of an institution that does not require rocket science.
