JoBeth is now the main mouth piece and carrier of water for the very corrupt likes of Snake, Anthony Ferguson and Eric Pike, whom together with their equally corrupt partners in government, like PM Davis, have conducted a monumental heist of our national energy sector assets like no other. The fraud perpetrated here on the Bahamian people cannot be allowed to remain.

All of this has all been in the making for decades with the intent of enabling certain of our corrupt government officials, at the most senior levels, to both justify and participate in the brazen theft of a controlling interest in BPL's assets by a crooked and greedy cabal of marauders led by Snake, Anthony Ferguson and Eric Pike.

The Bahamian people get stuck with all the debts of BPL/BEC and exorbitant electricity bills to come, while the crooked cabal of thieves get a clean slate and controlling possession of most of the revenues produced by a utility monopoly vital to our national security interests.

And make no mistake about it, Pintard and his fellow FNM parliamentarians will share responsibility with the corrupt Davis led PLP government for the entire mess to come because of their support of the new electricity legislation that facilitated this outrageous heist of our national assets for mere pennies on the dollar of true value. Pintard should have long ago announced that any future government led by him would immediately unwind this heist of national assets and properly deal with all issues relating to BPL in a fully transparent manner.

Hard to believe that a lowly grade of 'D' is considered to be the minimum passing grade for a BJC exam in any of the subjects offered. Even harder to believe that only 1948 of the 10745 BJC candidates received grades of D or above in five or more subjects.

My niece who was a teacher at one of the private schools here in Nassau and now teaches seventh grade at a public school in Georgia told me last year that a student's academic level would have to be regarded as unacceptably deficient if they could not achieve at least a grade of 'B' in five or more of the BJC subjects, including mathematics, English language and combined science.

It is also difficult to believe that only 653 of the 5,935 BGCSE candidates received a passing grade of C or higher in at least five subjects.

And to think the very loud-mouthed, incompetent and looney Hanna-Martin would have us believe these statistics are evidence of a positive trend. What a joke when you consider that the difficulty of both the BJC and BGCSE exams has been so watered-down in recent years in a deceitful effort to cover-up the dismal state of our nation's education system by portraying rosier statistics that have no grounding in reality.

Sadly, John Rolle as Central Bank Governor cannot pass gas without first getting the consent of PM Davis as Minister of Finance to go ahead and fart.

Why are The Tribune and BNT reluctant to name the owner(s) of the two vessels and confirm to the public whether the licensing and insurance required by law are in place?

And why has the cabinet minister responsible for environmental matters not said a peeping word to the public about this disastrous incident?

You are obviously referring to all of those ridiculous laws and regulations that were put in place as a result of our incompetent parliamentarians genuflecting and kowtowing to the likes of the OECD bureaucrats and other global financial regulators who have imposed on domestic commercial banks in our small nation a huge regulatory cost burden for the purpose of helping them identify and collect taxes due from their own taxpayers.

This is why a Bahamian can open a bank account in any of the OECD countries much faster and with greater ease than he or she can in the Bahamas.

Stumpy PM Davis and our Bone-Headed AG Pinder need to promote and pass new laws and regulations aimed at reducing the excessively high regulatory and other costs incurred by our commercial banks that naturally get passed on to their customers.

A hold also needs to be placed on the ability of foreign controlling shareholders of our commercial banks to repatriate their profits by way of dividends and other distributions until such time that our nation's foreign currency reserves are in a much healthier position to whether a serious downturn in the U.S. or global economy.

These are common sense measures that should be acted on now, and never put off until later!

Blame for government tolerating price gauging properly belongs in the lap of Stumpy Davis as minister of finance because John Rolle and the Central Bank are answerable to him. But the fact of the matter is the Canadian banks know they have our corrupt PM by his short and curlies. Therefore, like Slimy Fwreddy Boy, all Stumpy Davis can do is bloviate to the public on the gauging issue.
