Snake, Sebas Bastian, Craig Flowers and many others just like them now make up the financial base you speak of. Your mind is stuck back in the era of your grandparents and great grandparents with the exception of course of Pop's two legitimate sons, Brent and Craig Symonette, who are still trying to pull behind the scenes whatever political strings they can for their own benefit.
You're wasting your breath Pintard because the very greedy Snake ain't about to increase the profit margin of these gas retailers by lowering the cost of the gasoline he sells to them. That would lower the Snake's exorbitant profit margin on his gasoline sales to the independent gas station operators.
Perhaps a special tax needs to be directly levied on the wholesale supplier(s) of gasoline products so that the government (rather than the greedy Snake) has the means to control the profit margins earned by the independent gas retailers.
There is much I could say about the horrific scourge and blemish on our society that these two sleazy racketeering criminal thugs (Bastian and Flowers) have been allowed to create by the likes of Vomit Christie, Stumpy Coward Davis and Slo Mo Sears, but I will limit my comments to the following two most devastating impacts:
1) Their 'illicit' web shop gaming and other activities have greatly weakened our domestic financial system by stripping away from the local banks diversified deposit taking and lending opportunities that would otherwise exist not to mention the harm caused to vital correspondent banking relationships in the U.S., U.K. and Europe.
2) Their ferocious opposition to the establishment of a national lottery with the profits exclusively earmarked to help fund both our grossly under-resourced and dysfunctional public healthcare system and public education system.
I am fully in favour of all businesses operated by these two slime balls, Bastian and Flowers, being taxed to death or, better still, taxed out of existence. The PLP should never have legalized the criminal gaming enterprises that these two scoundrels were allowed to operate by financially backing corrupt politicians for decades.
Snake has no doubt told PM Davis that his Arawak Homes financing business needs government (taxpayer) support because home insurance costs have become unaffordable for borrowers.
Pintard needs to be "his own man" and stop listening to the extinct dinosaur likes of Hubert Ingraham and Brent Symonette. He really needs to demonstrate that he possesses the strong leadership skills necessary to stand on his own two feet and wear his own pants. And he must recognise Tyrant Minnis for what he is - nothing but an albatross around the neck of the FNM party! The FNM will likely lose the Killarney constituency unless the party can somehow open the door to another FNM candidate (also) running in that constituency.
