Rather silly of you to think the great scourge and blight of scumbag Sebas on our society is somehow justified by neglected downtown Bay Street buildings. Slimy Sebas has been allowed by successive corrupt political leaders to suck out of our economy huge amounts of financial resources that could have been deployed to public health care, public education, low cost housing projects, etc., etc.
Sadly our PM is a man who respects the likes of Sebas Bastian, Snake and the others like them; a man who, like Perry Christie, is known to have included Nygard among his friends when Nygard had the ability to throw parties and money the way of the PLP hierarchy, both in the Bahamas and abroad.
The failed policies of successive corrupt governments since the 1970s have created way too many dysfunctional families in our society. These are families living well below the poverty line that are struggling to survive and have no capability of properly raising children. In fact, many of these impoverished families are a breeding ground for children destined to become violent criminals who breed even more violent criminals.
Since the 1970s our corrupt political ruling class have been much too busy greatly enriching themselves, their own family members and their favoured cronies, with absolutely no concern about the growing impact of illegal immigration, poverty and crime on our decaying society. Truly sad.
This coming from a fella who has more blood on his hands than any other single Bahamian in the entire history of the Bahamas. His tyrannical conduct and irrational decision making in the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian and during the COVID pandemic caused many people to lose their lives. No one should ever forget this simple fact.
You can bet the liquidators have already determined who they want to be on the liquidation committee and for what reason. The number one question the creditors should ask at the March 15 meeting is what are the total liquidation costs to date, broken down as follows:
1. Total billed liquidators' fees analysed between the two PwC partners and the one Lennox Paton partner. 2. Total unbilled liquidators' fees similarly analysed. 3. Total legal fees paid by the liquidators, ideally analysed by law firm. 4. Total consultants' fees paid by the liquidators, ideally analysed by consultant. 5. Total 'other' liquidation costs not included in 1 through 4 above, separately identifying the portion of such total 'other' costs billed by PwC and Lennox Paton.
If the liquidators are unable or unwilling to provide this info with at least the granularity mentioned above, then all creditors will know what they are really up against in terms of the undisclosed rate of depletion of the assets collected to date. Such info is vital to all creditors as it speaks to the quality of the decision making by the liquidators and their overall efficiency in the conduct of the liquidation to date.
When it comes to Snake and others like him, The Tribune's Business Editor (Neil Hartnell) is a publicist and promoter of whatever they are trying to get the public to buy. Neil is well known to throw away his professionalism as a business journalist for the lowly price of a free meal at a good restaurant.
The OECD and EU have run our nation right into the ground by leveraging their clout over our dumber than dumb corrupt political leaders and government officials, with our doofus AG Pinder leading the pack of incompetent buffoons. And Bahamians need to start asking themselves how is it that no sooner do we get off of one blacklisting than we find ourselves on another one. It will soon take most Bahamians and Bahamian businesses more than a year to open a domestic bank account.
