I take it you have fallen victim to the fallacy that vacationers who enjoy the bountiful natural resources of our nation and who are infused with fun and fond memories from experiencing our sunshine, pristine beaches and beautiful aquamarine waters are not imbued with anything we have exported when their vacation ends and they go back to their home country.

And that is precisely the fallacy the cruise ship industry and the foreign hoteliers want us to believe in as they go about paying our nation a mere pittance for their hefty profiteering off of the major products we export when each cruise ship passenger and hotel guest leaves our nation after a fun and sun filled vacation on our beaches and in our waters.

Our government should be taxing to the hilt the foreign owned hotels and cruise ship companies rather than granting them overly generous concessions of every kind that exacerbates the extent of their profiteering off of our major export products associated with tourism.

This coming from the woke editorial staff and other lowly paid reporters at The Tribune who as a collective group no longer believe in free speech. LOL

It is truly laughable for the Central Bank to suggest that the debt to GDP ratio has gone down for the Bahamian people when there are so many of them who can no longer afford food, electricity, medicines, gasoline, etc.

The Central Bank must be talking here about the debt to GDP ratio that applies only to the corrupt political hierarchy of the PLP ruling class, their foreign investor friends and their other financial backers, cronies and partners in crime.

The Bahamian people and international debt markets long ago stopped trusting the meaningless statistics and financial information annouced by the Central Bank.

Davis and the entire PLP hierarchy have zero credibility in the international community for having allowed the quality of life and standard of living for so many Bahamians to deteriorate to the abysmal level of that experienced by the impoverished who live in failed nations.

This pathological liar has proven time and time again that he can both spit in the eye of the Bahamian people and grin at them at the very same time.

Davis, Mitchell and many others in the hierarchy of the PLP have demonstrated time and ime again over many years now that they are ever so much more interested in fighting for the foreigners who line their pockets, and the illegal Haitian aliens who gladly support the PLP in exchange for heir social welfare freebies and the right to remain in our country, than the Bahamian people who rank last on the list of their interests worth fighting for.
