Communist China is by far the most evil nation on our planet when it comes to the abuse of human rights, attacks on ethnic groups, and the persecution of Christians, Islamists, etc. What they've done to the African people over last three decades in the course of exploiting the natural resources of their countries using slave labour of the most cruel kind is nothing short of an abomination! The U.S. look like saints in their global exploits compared to the Communist Chinese.

You obviously have no real appreciation or understanding for just how bad things have become in recent decades in Canada, the U.K., most European countries, most Latin American countries, and most African countries; not to mention Australia and New Zealand. At least the U.S. is now trying to clean up its act under an intended disruptive new administration elected by the majority of its people. If only we had that happen in The Bahamas! And you can be rest assured "In God We Trust" won't be erased from the U.S. currency any time soon.

And we all know how quick Davis is whenever it comes to him opting to jump on a plane to get first class medical treatment abroad on advice from his daughter who happens to be a medical doctor living and working in the U.S. Yup, coward Davis is afraid to receive any kind of serious medical treatment in The Bahamas. Only truly pathetic PM could fear the quality and standards of his own nation's healthcare system, a system that his own PLP administration has responsibility for governing.

> US officials have claimed that the medical missions are “forced” labour, saying the programme enriches the Cuban regime while depriving ordinary Cubans of the medical care they desperately need at home.

BINGO!

For decades now our corrupt and incompetent politicians and their favoured cronies have focused their efforts on greatly and unjustly enriching themselves while the quality of life and standard of living for the vast majority of Bahamians have plummeted to all time lows. This has resulted in generations of well educated young Bahamians, who were fortunate enough to obtain advanced degrees from some of the finest universities and colleges abroad, deciding not to return home to join and strengthen the Bahamian workforce.

Only the third rate law students with their LLB degree in hand seem to want to join the ranks of our grossly over-lawyered Bahamian legal profession that is tarnished by much nepotism. Young bright Bahamian engineers, medical doctors, nurses, etc., are not inclined to return home because they (and their parents) see no real social and economic opportunities and benefits for them in doing so. Even Davis's own daughter, who is a medical doctor in the U.S., is a shining example of this harsh reality.

Yup, the brain-drain of our nation is one of the more costly, if not the most costly, outcome of the decades of waste, fraud, and abuse inflicted on our nation by the corrupt and incompetent ruling political elite, which includes Davis himself as a shining example.

And crooked and incompetent politicians are incentivized to put in place bad policies that are intended to result in the gross mismanagement of just about everything under the government's control in order to justify corrupt Public-Private-Partnerships of every kind that only serve to exacerbate the very great divide between the few super wealthy "HAVES" and many abject poor "have nots".

I can assure you my political face is neither PLP nor FNM. For decades now the leadership of both of these political parties has been financially controlled by an elitist group of Bahamians who have amassed their great wealth for the most part by bribing corrupt senior government officials, including the politicians they select and bank roll for us to vote for come election time. This will continue until we have either serious campaign finance reform or become a failed state like Haiti where only the most corrupt and wealthy few are not enslaved and victims of barely survivable living conditions.

And without a serious Freedom of Information Act, our corrupt, incompetent and most greedy politicians will continue to be emboldened to seize every opportunity they can to line their own pockets by selling the best our country has to offer to equally greedy and corrupt foreign investors, including the ChiComs, by way of devious and deceitful schemes loaded with ridiculously generous concessions that don't leave a morsel on the table for the vast majority of Bahamians.

Public-Private-Partnerships, our so called "Sovereign Wealth Fund" and a recently proposed new "National Investment Fund", are all designed to line the pockets of the wealthy few through the sale of our nation's most valuable and scarce assets. These Partnerships and Funds are intended to unjustly enrich a select few, especially if the likes of Tony Ferguson, Snake and Sebas Bastian are in any way involved in these types of most shady deals.

I'm not sure why you think my second post above accuses any one of anything or somehow endorses shopping at Super Value. It was intended to sensitize readers to the very real risks associated with eggs not produced, transported or stored in a manner that is safe for eventual public consumption.

It is a well established fact that dairy products as a food group, i.e., eggs, milk, cheese, etc., are prone to causing serious bouts of food poisoning if not produced, transported, and stored in a way that respects the safety and well-being of the eventual consumer. And not everyone has a good enough nose all the time to detect when dairy products may be seriously "off" and dangerous to consume.

Countries without food safety and/or health inspectors do, as a matter of fact, have higher fatality rates from food poisoning incidents among the more vulnerable in their society, like the very young or the very elderly.

You are free to respect whomever you wish whether they deserve it or not. But the nasty, evil, authoritarian, tyrannical and incompetent Minnis will never be able to divorce himself from his grave mishandling of both the aftermath of the Hurricane Dorian disaster and the COVID-19 pandemic. Too many Bahamians and a great number of Haitians lost their lives because of this man.

And then there is the $200+ million of our nation's scarce financial resources that he squandered on purchasing the Lucayan Hotel property from his wealthy ChiCom friends before proceeding to embark on a failed renovation project by handing out heavily padded contracts to his cronies and financial-backers. Tyrant Minnis has no shame or remorse for all the harm he has done to so many.

I suspect If the FNM party allows him to run on the FNM ticket in the next general election, a lot of voters like me will not vote for the FNM candidate running in their constituency.

For all of its serious transgressions committed against other nations over many decades, including The Bahamas, a world with the often misguided US as its dominant economic and military super power, as opposed to the always evil ChiComs, will be a much safer place for all of mankind. Keep in mind that our corrupt ChiCom-friendly politicians love it when we whine, complain and spew hatred towards the US rather than focus on getting the evil ChiComs out of our country by any means possible.

ExposedU2C says...

The US is now in the painful process of clawing itself out of a deep hole created by decades of corrupt politicians, an out-of-control military industrial complex, a costly bureaucracy ruling the people rather serving their needs, and the malicious activity of the ChiComs.

Bluntly put, this painful clawing out process can only be done by a highly motivated and enormously wealthy group of talented disruptors lead by a well-liked (popular) visionary and energetic leader who is totally driven by his vision for a better future for all US citizens.

Anyone who thinks this clawing out of the hole process can be done without great pain for most US citizens, including US allies who have been wrongfully taking advantage of US citizens for many decades, is simply delusional.

Sadly, The Bahamas as a small nation is in a much deeper hole than the US. If we as Bahamians are unable to claw ourselves out of the very deep hole the corrupt politicians in the PLP and FNM have dug for us since 1973, then perhaps we should consider inviting President Trump to consider the possibility of having The Bahamas become the 51st State of the USA before Canada beats us to it. Like Greenland to the North, The Bahamas in the South as a US State or US Territory would provide the USA with the significant additional national security it needs to keep adventurous foreign adversaries like the ChiComs at bay.
