Pseudo-intellectual Freddy Boy is really flying his true colours now ........ with putrid slime green being his favourite dominant colour! And to think this tootie-fruity moron is a cabinet minister and chairman of the PLP party. That fact alone really says all there is to say about the corrupt leadership of the PLP.
> The Ministry of Finance did not respond to Tribune Business calls and messages seeking comment before press time last night. This newspaper knows the identity of the official in whose yard the Silent Prayer is allegedly located, but has been told not to name them for legal reasons.
So The Tribune shamefully admits the government only needs to threaten to sue it in order to silence it, thereby leaving the public without the benefit of the freedom of the press that is guaranteed by the Constitution of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.
I would not be at all surprised if the seized boat was found sitting on the property of either corrupt PM Davis, or Dumbo Halkitis, or Simple (But Always Angry) Wilson. After all, the entire ministry of finance and all of its sub-departments and sub-agencies are now from top to bottom nothing but a hornets nest of the worst kind of thieves.
The good people of Eleuthera really need to send this most corrupt Davis led PLP government a message he will never forget come the next general election.
You know full well this corrupt Davis led PLP government thinks its main source of revenue is borrowing and/or selling state owned assets for pennies on the dollar of true value.
Pintard really needs to stay focused on all of the corruption embedded in Davis's proposed BPL deal involving the insatiably greedy Snake and band of marauders, both foreign and local. The plane can wait. Davis is part of a cabal that is attempting to seize control of our nation's vitally important energy sector for pennies on the dollar in what would represent a massive theft of state assets for mere pennies on the dollar of true value with all of our nation's indebtedness relating to BPL being left for the taxpayers to bare.
If corrupt PM Davis called a national election tomorrow, there would be less than a 20% probability of the PLP government winning a majority of seats in the HOA.
Against this backdrop, and considering what's at stake here in terms of our national security and economic interests, Pintard as opposition leader, and the Bahamian people (voters) should be howling for either a snap general election or a national referendum.
And Pintard must make it clear that if there is no snap general election or national referendum so that the voice of the Bahamian people can be heard on this proposed giveaway of state assets and turnover of our nation's vital energy sector to a cabal of marauders led by the insatiably greedy Snake, then the entire corrupt deal will be undone by the next FNM government on Constitutional grounds.
This corrupt Davis led PLP government did absolutely nothing about BPL's woes for nearly four years. And now that Davis clearly sees the writing on the wall for the whooping the PLP will take in the next general election, he is paving the way for Snake and his fellow marauders to seize control of our nation's vital energy sector for mere pennies on the dollar of its true value. This meets the definition of theft of state assets facilitated by a most corrupt PM.
Small wonder the U.S. government has called out this Davis led PLP government for its failure to pass an effective FOIA and its non-compliance with, among many other things, the Procurement Act which requires a transparent competitive bidding process.
No, not so at all. There are plenty of effective guard rails that could be put in place to prevent this from happening. The professional operators of the highly successful Florida State Lottery long ago indicated a willingness to assist in that regard under a reasonable arrangement that would be mutually beneficial to both the State of Florida and The Bahamas.
Truth be told, the racketeering criminal thugs like Sebas Bastian and Craig Flowers need to be put out of business once and for all. Their illicit activities continue to place our entire domestic financial system at risk and they have greatly distorted both our foreign currency reserves and, like our corrupt government, the proper allocation of our country's scarce capital resources.
The PLP government should never have attempted to illegally 'legalize' the criminal gaming enterprises of these sleazy thugs against the wishes of the Bahamian people as was expressed in the outcome of a duly held national referendum many years ago when the very corrupt Vomit Christie was PM.
Their profit margins are actually controlled (fixed) by the supplier of their gasoline. The supplier (Snake) actually pays less in taxes per gallon of gasoline that he supplies to the gas retailers than the retailers pay to government on each gallon they pump at their retail station.
Keep in mind that Snake likely has a sweet deal (back-room arrangement) with Shell whereby the cost of every gallon of gasoline he purchases from Shell is inflated to reduce his own VAT and business license fees. In fact, some suspect the insatiably greedy Snake has a myriad of special arrangements with Shell that makes him one of the biggest private sector tax dodgers in our country. And let's not forget Snake's many decades of evading the full amount of property tax due on his real estate activities in Eleuthera, New Providence and Grand Bahama.
