Authoritarian and tyrannical Minnis is the wrong messenger for any message to the Bahamian people. Way too much blood on his hands. He just shamelessly refuses to accept that he was long ago put out to pasture forevermore. In the next general election, the voters in the Killarney constituency really need to wake up and hammer the nails into the political coffin of this most despicable, nasty and evil man.
Unfortunately, her size alone tends to make one suspect of just how disciplined she really is. This has been the case for way too many of the so called "brown suits" over the past 3 or 4 decades. Running a few hundred miles on the treadmill each year would no doubt do wonders for her mental sharpness and toughness as well. It also goes without saying that fast food should become a thing of the past. Good leaders are known to lead by example.
The incoming Trump administration has made it known that four countries in the Caribbean/West Indian region are an existential threat to the national security interests of the U.S.A. They are: Cuba, Haiti, Jamaica and The Bahamas.
Both The Central Bank and The Tribune's Business Editor have conveniently neglected to mention that our country's dire financial situation is actually much worse if unfunded pension liabilities of public sector (government) workers is taken into account.
The unfunded actuarial liabilities of the National Insurance Fund should also be taken into account. But the smoke and mirrors accounting by The Central Bank and The Ministry of Finance simply ignore these whopping additional liabilities that total billions (not millions) of dollars.
On retirement, most public and private sector workers will not be receiving anywhere near the level of pension payments and other benefits they currently think they will get in their retirement years. All of these cupboards are now bare with no means to be replenished thanks to decades of corruption by our nation's elitist ruling class of incompetent and crooked politicians.
His puckered sweet lips are telling all of us he has the "goods" on too many of the political elite in the hierarchy of the PLP so Stumpy Davis don't dare fire him and he ain't planning on resigning or retiring anytime soon.
The incompetence and corruption of our political leaders is literally creating an ever increasing number of impoverished Bahamians who are very vulnerable to the development of severe mental disorders tied to the severe stresses and strains associated with their dire poverty.
