My suggestion is you listen to his interview with Candia Dames. Even FNM's had to cringe at how bad an impression he gave of himself, and them as the party he represents.
There's a more detailed report on news sites in Canada, Denver and Washington shortly after this attempted robbery, yet the "Bahamas leading newspaper" as they call themselves has yet to post anything up to Monday morning? Must be waiting to get our .75 cents first before posting on the website.
If the FNM wanted to get rid of victimization, they were the government for 15 of the past 20 years. They had ample time to amend the law since 1992, especially since, as people say, this is the PLP way. Why didn't they? Because they know that the way things are suit their purpose just as well. Now they're crying foul? And sadly, many people continue to fall for it, as the comments show. Both parties victimize in one way or another. It's Bahamian politics. Stop acting as if this is one sided or new.
Then if it's a false report, then he has nothing to worry about. If he's innocent, he should be cleared of all charges. I won't bother to ask how you know all the facts.
So everyone who goes to work expects to get groped (allegedly) by a customer? That is the society we live in, I agree, but it doesn't excuse (alleged) wrongdoing.
The time frame between when the alleged offense occurred and when it was reported is a minor issue. Keep in mind there is the shock and embarrassment factor. Then keep in mind the nature of the Bahamian society. Sexual harassment is never taken seriously, so it could have been that she figured, like many women here in the Bahamas believe, that reporting it is a waste of time. But how long it took her to report it doesn't change the fact that there appeared to be sufficient evidence to take this matter to court. Being a tourist doesn't excuse, nor minimize the crime, if found guilty.

Which only shows how poorly he sounded, considering the Tribune is pro FNM. Even they couldn't help this embarrassment.

So you're saying PLP's are poor and dumb. Gotcha.
No wonder the Bahamas stuck in neutral.
