emac, did the Bahamian people really lose though??? With hindsight we all claim to have 20/20 vision. This has become your opinion now as a result of what you and the entire Country are experiencing under a worst and incompetent Administration. But do you and the readers know what Socrates said amounts to the worst punishment for a person, or a country? It is to have a person/organization of lesser/lowest qualities and intelligence bearing rule over you. It is what it is!!!
It was most satisfying for me at the time to find out that Prime Minister Ingraham and his Administration were swept out of office. They got the result of their belligerent attitudes. A good taste of rejection can do some of us good. In this case, it came from the voting populace.
Prime Minister Ingraham and his Cabinet carried on in a flagrant, disrespectful and demeaning manner towards those who has this Countries' best interest at heart. They rejected and refuse to listen to the concerns of the faithful and true sons and daughters of this Great Bahamas - whose testimonies of blood and sacrifice for this Country is unquestioned and unshakable. Emac, I know what I am talking about...
Dr. Dwayne Sands came into Montagu and invited a healing of the past. Let's get on with it then.

"National Health Insurance (NHI) scheme is “doomed to fail” if it abandons plans to make participation mandatory for all Bahamians and legal residents,"
stop interfering... that's the idea! what money could have been - has already been spent!
The following paragraph from Mr. Michael Pintard's press release given in response to this latest fiasco seem to confuse two separate meetings, and, two different planned agendas as being one and the same, while in fact, they are most likely different. However, there is a diabolical element to be unveiled.
Mr. Pintard is quoted to say: "I have called Mrs Butler-Turner to reassure her that the meeting planned for next Friday (which would be the sixth meeting with FNM Members of Parliament in less than 2 weeks) was done based on the feedback from her Council Representative. At no time was any disrespect intended nor are there any hidden agendas as some have sought to convince her."
I ask: were there - six (6) meetings with FNM MPs in less than two (2) weeks?... And if so... were these six meetings solely based upon some "the feedback from LBT's Council Representative"? This sounds to me like two entirely different causes for meetings. Ones' purpose was to meet with the FNM MPs..., the other, was to meet with LBT's Council Representative.
And if this was the case, why then did Mr. Pintard use his response to expose that there is an ongoing "feedback from her [LBT] Council Representative"?
If he is being truthful about the Friday meeting, Mr. Pintard then appears to be indirectly attempting to discredit Mrs. Butler-Turner through this press release by exposing that there is a dissension among the ranks of the Long Island FNM Association towards Mrs Butler-Turner. Indirectly he is bringing to the public's attention an ongoing internal issue feud in the Party which the executive said must not happen; but he is doing it through the opportunity that is created though this 'press release' - which he wants us to believe is a 'correction and apology for a miscommunication' to Mrs. Butler-Turner.
This makes it difficult for me to recognize his sincerity at being honest, fair and objective, and, to act in the best interest to unify the Free National Movement. If he did not realize this, then he has shown himself a measure of incompetency as Party Chairman.
t is a rule of law that 'justice delayed is justice denied'. As a ex-convict and student of law, I understand the practicality and underpinning mischief of this rule. It seeks to avoid the mischief of injustice.
More fundamental than any rule of law, is the geometric rule that says, when one angle of a triangle is unknown and two angles of that triangle is known, the unknown angle can be calculated: add the two known angles to get their total and then, subtract this amount from 180. What remains is the unknown angle.
I have adopted this approach when assessing situations in everyday life, i.e., if something smells bad, and if it looks bad... chances are, it will taste and be bad - consequently, it is not good! These dimensions of badness are enough to indicate to me not to get myself involve... leave it alone. These evidence a rotten state. It ought to be discarded - thrown it away..., flush it down the toilet..., place it in the trash bin, etc etc - whatever you wish to do with it..., just get rid of it! Because, it is unhealthy and draws on bacteria and germs that are not good for you. This approach cannot be over emphasize in matters of our judiciary. If we accept that 'justice delayed is justice denied', do we then go in the opposite direction and carry a given situation to the other extreme of the spectrum i.e. swift justice? bahamas... am I the only one in this Country who was mathematically attentive in school? I hope not! But, what is the median to apply to this formulation so that our judiciary/justice system can equate to an reasonable and acceptable result?
Now... please... don't think of me as being rude by the crudeness which I feel compelled to express myself. But he area of the human body from where human waste (feces) is released is located 'out of sight' and is at the 'rear bottom' of the 'back side' part of our anatomy. It seems divine that this is the case. It is located far from the place where we eat our food (lower head and front). This is place where we intake nutritious things for our well-being. Whether they smell good or taste nice... at least they must be palatable. These must be digested before they go on and become waste matter (feces). In a way, they must be internalize before becoming a part of our body. Just as profound is my principle: you don't shit in the same place that you eat - and you don't eat in the same place that you shit!!!. If only some policy makers understood this principle: Do what you got to do while in the toilet - not in the kitchen; and vice versa.
Sadly, the things that sometimes come out of some people's mouth smell so bad that you can become confused as to which end is which - what I mean is, you can hardly discern the difference in the smells, i.e. bad breath and the things that they pontificate and ask you to go along with.
Sorry for the length and the verbosity of this but I hope you'll get the point.

while you all debate and argue over the hair style of a student, the chinese, and other foreign interests, are eating your breakfasts, your lunches, and, your dinners for the future.
All this is going on while you all are arguing over this; and to further note, the cooks, waiters and waitresses who are serving these foreign interests are the incompetent administration of government which you all have elected to see to it that you and your children's needs are met now and in the future, i.e. Edison Key, a 77 year old member of Parliament who has now decided to rescind from retiring and run again for the House of Assembly in 2017.
The Principal of the school was only seeking to raise and keep up a standard of personal hygiene and self deportment for an already declining culture among this generation. The Principal, I am assured, had no evil intent or malice in mind.
We ought to have given her our support in this regard. Obviously, the matter was still being considered by her - but for the intemperate and hasty manners of the mother, this could have been resolve with added benefit to the child, and to a wider extent, the Country.
Two things come to my mind: one, the children at the scene are having to witness a foretaste of what is forecasted to be their future; two, it is understood that Mr. Edision Key, the Member of Parliament for Abaco, who is 77 years old, has decided to rescind his decision to retire. Right now I want to express myself like Ikalik. This is clearly a war between the generations, rather than political ideologies. The previous two or three generations of leaders are refusing to allow the generation gap to be filled. You'll could allow the 'cat' to get ya tongue, but this is ridiculous. They could not speak to the hearts and minds of their generation, but yet, they feel that they deserve and can speak and lead the hearts and minds of the people today. Spearing the profanity, I am disgusted to say the least.
My last point should put to rest the notion that this is a result of the 'black crab' syndrome.
