this rule is exactly why we have this mess. What a stupid rule. you get born here, but you have to hide for 18 years until you become legal? whoever came up with this must have smoked some crack. Only in the Bahamas. So someone to make a decision. The reality is if a minor is legal bcz it is born in the Bahamas, then you cant sent home the parents w/o the kids etc. If he is illegal, and being shipped out, how can it ever prove that it was born here? Bahamian government is not able to keep records (that I hope we can all agree on).

well that was part of the strategy by the government to blame "high prices" not on VAT but on shop owners. Exactly what happens now. And Mr. VAT Czar is still in the Bahamas and has not been shipped out to either Cuba or North Korea with his views on free economy and enterprise. If you don't like Super Value's prices shop somewhere else.

speaking of which when you look up PowerSecure in the Internet, the first thing you see is the company being the defendant in securities fraud law suits. not sure the high paid government consultants forgoet to consult with the www. Last year in Q1 and Q2. so much for the integrity of the company and its endorsements by the U.S. embassy.

GrassRoot says...

1000% agreed. only reason: photo-op for PGC and DPM & Co. Who flies to the Bahamas to see Janet Jackson?

Government Expenses: 10 x 9 Mio BSD.= 90 Mio BSD (from my right hand)
Generated Revenue for Bahamas: 10 x 30 Mio BSG = 300 Mio BSD (to my left hand)

That I call a no brainer.

and yes we ensure you that all these festivities will display our deep and emotional connection with all these our traditions.

I was dreaming that Mr. Miller tried to swallow Mr. Maynard and choked to death while doing so. Let them get at each other, if nothing else comes out of it. it will be first class free entertainment and will increase our GDP by means of legal and court fees.
