On the "fake cops": I suggest that for a while all police officers must wear uniform. I would understand a person that runs from anybody claiming to be a police officer but does not look like one.
I agree with Dr. Nottage, there should be absolutely no room for vigilantes in this country. Enforcing the law, catching thieves, rapists and murderers and put them away, is the government's and the judiciary's job. Only problem is, they don't do their job. In all the places on the planet, if a government can not ensure its people to be and feel safe and if the people lose trust into the judicial system, people will try to protect themselves.
I am always happy to see Quaker Oats and other food items from the U.S. marked "for export only'. Am sure they contain only the best ingredients. Further there are a lot of fake copies of foods in the stores in the Bahamas (olive oil, tomato paste, pasta etc.) Mostly Chinese foods repackaged to look like Italian or US produced items.
Since the U.S. has Ebola case we should prohibit travel from the U.S. to the Bahamas or at least install a 21 days' quarantine program for travelers coming from the U.S.
Well it was plain wrong to pay those bonuses. It was done by the old government. Now we have a new government, it is understandable that PLP is making some noises. Bottom line for the new Government: 1. Fix it (drag them to court or ask for repayment or both) 2. Make sure that you are learning from this and don't shower your own crownies in money.
