public fallout got too big. the boyz hoped to keep tis under the carpet. did not work. Have to say though, that you must have big balls to order a forensic report if you know you have something to hide (and even if its only an issue involving responsibility and oversight and not stealing from the Bahamian public).

This is what we all should do. Help a little, share our blessings with people that have a tough time. becoming a bit more humble and teach ourselves some empathy. Many people out there that need you and me.

@Pablo - well as we all know by now, the Bahamas does not know ius solis. So being born on Bahamian soil does not do anything for child born to an illegal immigrant - further if you think Haitian ladies are well fed after they endured this trip, you are reasonably unhealthy in your head - so I suggest you zip it, as you don't act like a Bahamian should. Treat these humans humanely, if there is a reason to let them stay, let them stay else send them home. That is the procedure.

*On Monday’s newscast, ZNS reported that its reporter Genea Noel-Ferguson had come under attack following the report. The network revealed that Mrs Noel-Ferguson was a “Bahamian from birth” after she received threats and hateful commentary over her nationality, motive, and integrity.*

So, maybe we Bahamians are not better? If find it interesting that ZNS defends the reporter with the argument that she was Bahamian from birth. Why would you attack a person in the first place, so attacking a non-Bahamian would be ok? Stupid. Very stupid statement from ZNS.

and is probably beaten daily, according to standard operating procedures of the local police.

agreed, however irrespective of what colors a public servant is wearing, if any at all, someone out there will throw dirt at you. The insurance policy's main objective then is also to defend unwarranted lawsuits and effectively paying your legal fees. As we all know, the lawyers in the Bahamas are pirates as well and don't really care about the merits of a case as long as they get paid. Keeps at least that part of the economy going (thank you Mr. Bacon, Nygard, Weisfish, Genting People etc....).

So if Myers steps down over something small (for which he was probably set up by one of his many foes) my question is, what should happen to all the members of the Government, administration, customs, police, motor vehicle dept., etc. that willingly and intentionally defraud the general public, by looking away, getting unlawful financial and non-financial benefits, don't pay their property taxes etc.? I guess our unemployment rate would explode.

and Dr. Nottage still maintains that crime was down? I don't really care about a guy stealing my garden hose, if I am too scared to let my daughter going at on the weekends. its called quality of life, and that we don't have these days. What kind of life is this, when you don't know whether you get back home unharmed, every time you leave your house?
