It is unfortunate for thin- skinned Minnis to speak such foolishness about McAlpine. I knew he would be terrible as PM but take me to Jesus- he needs to be sent to pasture like Perry. This man is terrible. Cant talk sense and cant think on his feet. Not agreeing with a gov decision 75% of Bahamians also disagree with isnt evidence that Mac wants anyone to suffer, much less Grand Bahamians. It sounds to me that he has seen a lot of money thrown into the wind on the island and bad idea, after bad idea fail. Rather than play politricks-badly- maybe Mr. Minnis need to put his fragile ego aside and lead by first asking for input on what to do on Grand Bahama and rethinking the PA agreement. ALL the other GB Mps are yes men and women with not a single backbone or idea to move that island forward between them- that includes DPM.
Christie needs to stay gone. The mere discussion of his return in any form tells me how bankrupt aka screwed aka dead the PLP is. Brave aint it. Man is tainted and most important, I have never heard a good idea, shoot an idea, any idea designed to move this country forward ever come out of his mouth. And I mean ever. I am not even sure the man has a personality. haven't seen evidence of one publicly. Lets not start with the "perception" of character. Say what you want, PLP better keep looking.
he is right on many points, especially the concern regarding monopolies. Innovative thinking in the house is like trying to find the holy grail. Since Bahamar and Atlantis seem to work they can't think their way towards an alternative form of business that would lessen the impact of a single company closing shop. Our form of cabinet offers a herd mentality, only thing this herd is doing is throwing the country and its scarce dollars over a cliff.
This guy was murdered. I don't know why but sadly the reason could be as simple (Simply evil) as a gang initiation, a straight up hit, retribution for a perceived snub or someone wanting his job. Sad but true. If this person is found he should be interviewed on TV so people can see that these fellows don't give a scrap about anyones life including their own.
$30,000 is a drop in the bucket. Of course better than nothing but this is almost nothing considering the social burden these organizations carry. This amount isn't even equal to the price of ONE of the cars the government just bought. Shameful. Just cant seem to get priorities right.
This is a sad, pathetic, disgrace and reeks of incompetence, mismanagement and rampant corruption. These governments have no shame. If these dudes are the best we can field we are doomed. Can't even develop a competent contract?
This was nice. It humanizes her. I am not sure the stories of many of our leaders holds a candle to her story and accomplishments. I also wonder if her treatment in this entire thing has impacted her support of the FNM... If she remains a staunch supporter of the FNM, will this experience prompt her to move into frontline politics? Frankly I still don't understand why she was removed- besides the fact that she may have stood up to the government on an important decision...
