Wilson is a symptom of a bigger problem. Why have successive governments continued to use his services?

Stop this FNM- PLP bull shite. This is way beyond party and is the result of failure of governance on a national level- EVERY leader we have had, EVERY Government who have stepped to the plate have failed miserably. ALL our leaders had a desire to be loved rather than do what they needed to do in real terms to get this runaway train under control. Stop trying to pin blame on one party. We need to take responsibility for this mess as a country and move forward. Enough is flickin' enough.

I know a Bahamian who has a condo in Miami. He goes back and forth from Nassau for his work and leaves his ac on the entire time to prevent mold, and keep things comfortable and stable I guess. You know what his bill was for last month? $47.00. Why is that? Not a drop of oil in Florida as far as I know. And guess what- not a single power outage. The failure to address the country's energy crisis has been the economic noose around this country's growth since 1973. Years of prosperity have gone down the toilet because of successive governments unwillingness to ACT. When it was revealed that that Ramsey man - concerned with others who were unnamed- sold the country out and approved substandard equipment for BEC - for a flickin kickback and that governments went ahead with big azz Bahamar without any upgrades to the electrical grid- i just about threw in the towel. THAT is ignorance and ineptitude of Herculean levels. The situation we find ourselves in is because of piss poor leadership for decades and too much special and personal interests involved with BEC. Energy generation is the number one problem facing the Bahamas. number one- Nothing works without power. nothing. And we pay an incredible price - in wasted revenue, poor customer service, burnt up appliances, angry visitors, angry hot Bahamians with guns, health problems from stress and the inability to pay these rising electrical bills. enough is flickin enough. Minnis- If you want to really do something for this country - deal with this albatross on the country's economy and way of life. There are a hundred reports over the years sitting on shelves at BEC- and take it from me- they tell the story- read them yourself and make some gat dam decisions. Enough is enough. The money wasted as a result of expensive inconsistent energy generated could go elsewhere in the economy instead of the bottomless outside toilet that is BPL/BEC.

Wrong again PLP. There should not have been an incident in the first place - to be recorded for release on social media. The behavior of the people fighting and those encouraging the fight is the problem not the release of the video. Foolishness will always make its way to social media and your people provided the content.

This is a much needed service but this Capron fellow is a lousy manager. His inability to manage this situation has now put the entire operation in jeopardy. What sense does that make?
As the old values of caring for parents and older relatives without children pass away, we need proper facilities for the elderly. These places are better than nowhere but the standard, in my opinion is too low. having visited one or two- I find them to be depressing AF.
He completely lost me here: "Dr Capron, when asked if he has reached out to BPL for assistance, replied by saying: "I prefer speaking with (Minister of Works Desmond Bannister). If he wants me to have a word with him, then I'll do that with him. I wouldn't speak with nobody else until he tells me what to do." He "prefers" to go political rather than be responsible? God help these old people. I hope he doesn't have them all in insurance policies with the home as the beneficiary. The elderly and the needy are easily exploited and something ain't right here. But as always, I hope I am wrong.

He knows exactly what his responsibilities are. This is is second or third run as AG. But people forget that politics in the Bahamas has created a class of people that believe that the Bahamas is for them and theirs. It is a class for which our current and more recent AGs, all belong. Becoming an elected politician is like becoming a member of the bar, or in this case a lodge. Once you are in, it seems the members are willing to protect the secrets of the society at any cost. Right, wrong, criminality etc be damned! So not one person will be persecuted for this mess. Not one. And if you all holding your breath thinking otherwise- make sure your loved ones put your avatar name in your obituary so I can at least pay my respects at ya funeral.

Every time I pass Bahamar I see our fisheries going the tubes. That is one of many things these suck necks really want.

That's because they represent the Chinese government and they strong arm weaker nations into letting them build all the time. I have been all over Africa and the CCA is present everywhere from east to west, north to south. But too many of their projects disintegrate within years from unnecessary stadiums in Zambia and single track trains in Tanzania to roads in Ethiopia. The roads and bridges built by the Italians in Ethiopia during occupation seventy years ago still strong as an ox. Those built by CCA after five years, falling down the side of mountains. Presence and initial look doesn't translate to quality or longevity. Bahamar will be no different.

I have always wondered what Beneby brought to the table. Big job, after big job. In my few meetings and interactions with him I found him completely forgettable. If someone knows, I am willing to be enlightened.
