Greentea says...

So 400 Bahamians lose their jobs in grand bahama and the government gives 500 Chinese work permits?

Greentea says...

If these fellas would put 20% of the time they dedicate to mischief and mayhem toward something good and productive, they would be millionaires. But you can't buy wisdom.

Greentea says...

Shouldn't the reporter mention that this young man was one of the eight the police put an APB out on last week or so? With the heavy guard, my guess is they fully expect at some point that one of these fellas compadres will try to 'rescue' them in grand style at court. These nigs watching too much TV. Ya'll can't take bullets and bounce back like Luke Cage. Dead is dead.

10 years. He been here before. None of these fellas have anything to show for their time in government. It is a sad state of affairs.

Greentea says...

This is a sad day for the Bahamas. Country cannot survive four more years of what it has. The FNM made a huge mistake not changing leadership. Doc could Roc when the Big Boppa was clearing the way but the demands of leadership and more than that the political savvy, personal touch and killer instinct required of leadership in Bahamian politics is totally absent in Doc. He lacks personality, communication skills, personal touch, vision and quite frankly leadership qualities more generally. I believe Loretta was right to leave. She isn't the perfect candidate but she is better than Minnis and would have gone further with the party behind her than Minnis can. My two hopes, Dames and D'Aguilar have been silent and Lloyd needs to reign in his arrogance. But FNMs hard headed. How many times have they entered the arena and LOST with good men but bad politicians? Anyone remember Kendal Isaacs? Truly a sad day.

Must agree with you here. One thing the man don't have a problem with is ego!

Greentea says...

Sorry commish. I don't believe it. Just check the facebook pages of all of those GHS students and former students who sent condolences on Bahamas News Ma Bey to the 16 year old currently in the arms of Jesus. It is fascinating how many reference they make to the One Order Gang or are the children of murdered men.

Greentea says...

John - The commissioner is right whether you want to believe it or not and it has been this way for a long time. Homosexuality is present and I would even say prevalent in these gangs. If you are being honest- think about it- how could it not be? And with young men unable to handle emotions and desirous of affection and not getting it elsewhere, when they find it- where ever they find it, they are willing to protect/ die for it. Jealousy is real whether in heterosexual or homosexual relationships. Watch The Wire. Watch Beasts of No Nation. Read Marlon James's novel on Jamaican Gang violence. We have One Order in Nassau and One Order is in Kingston. One Order is affiliated with Labour in Jamaica and the next one- Clansmen or some such- the old Seaga party. Is the same happening here on an informal level? Bahamians need to stop pretending and wake up. We are both willfully blind, corrupt and hypocritical as a people. These religious ministers who want to save gay people, go in the trenches and work with these gangs. Never mind- I know "too real". And they would run ya anyway- because they already know too many of you.

I hope you are near the airport or a boat dock. Nassau's road system isnt designed for a quick escape- too few options. And yes- sadly - I have given this thought.
